I have a dress...and I really like it. But it was an impulse 2nd hand buy but I decided...oh I want to have the bridal store experience!! Why?!!! I tried on a dress, a big princessy dress (as a joke as well, due to me always hating them) and I wanted to cry...I loved it!! I felt so beautiful in it...I didn't even feel self concious about my arms and I ALWAYS do. So now all I can think about is that damn dress!! It was £1150 ronald joyce '10 collection. If you go to the website and click the '10 collection, its number 33. Even when I see it online I'm like...eh what? But I know how good I feel with it on! So now I don't now what to do!
Its way out my budget and I have a dress!! I'm thinking of resellng my current one but oh I dont know!! :( :(

Hey hun, if you love it that much, I would sell the one you have and put the money towards THE dress! You still have loads of time, it may get put into a sale as end of line within the next year! Either wait to see if that happens or ask the store if you can pay in installments! :) xxxx

Either that or get it replicated by anne! :) xxx

I would go for the Ronald Joyce, thats what happened to me, except I didn't have a dress yet but found one I was about to buy, and I went to try some on for fun, and fell in love. mine is £1200 so basically same price than you, and I am paying it in steps, and its easier. :)

I think you should go for hun, or have a look on the bay of e and see it there are any of these china shops thats make copies of dresses that might be making your's. If so, you could save your self a lot of money.

Keep yor eyes open for the sale coming up or if the shop one fitted you, see if you could buy that one cheaper. I think you should definately go for it, you might surprise everyone with your choice. x

You have plenty of time, sooo sell your other one and buy new one, if your financially unable ask if you can pay by instalments :D

I found a dress on line that i was all set to buy but was unsure if the style would suit me.
So i went into a shop just to try the different styles on and fell in love :-)

Its £1200 and my sister said she would pay for it for me but she is paying monthly over a year for it!

I say if this dress is THE ONE then sell the one you have and use that as the deposit then pay the rest in installments

Awwww bless you. I'd sell the one you already have, and get the one you have fallen in love with. At the end of the day, you only have this day once! xx

Well, I've put the one I have on gumtree. I'm selling it for what I bought it for as I think that's fair! I've had one email saying is it new or used? Which I thought was an odd question but nothing else so far.
I can pay in instalments...I pay a deposit of 50% then I can pay it up.
Worse, it's from the shop I always said I'd buy my dress from so it would be extra special. *sigh*

you've got lots of time to do huni and sell the one you've got and try to find the one you like second hand. i think i've seen this dress on preloved but i'm not sure what size it is. just try and get it wherever you can. if your not happy with what your wearing and you've found something better then you obviously aren't happy with the first dress

Agree with the above - you've got time, from both an ordering and saving viewpoint. IMO you need to feel 100% confident on your day and not thinking "but what if I'd had the other one..?"
