No when I say I don't wear make up I mean it - even if I go to a party friends have to force me into a bit of mascara and lipgloss... i am basically very low maintenance.
My BM's are going to do my makeup because I trust them totally to make me look my best and one of them has a sister that works in a salon and will be on hand should we need her. Only problem is I have NO what I am looking for. We are going to go for a day out to different make-up counters etc to get advice so I thought i would have a look online first - this has just confused me more... Did anyone know primer for your face was a thing?? I thought primer was for decorating!!
And all the foundations- matte, gloss, liquid, powder.... I have no idea what is best and what I will need to look good in photos... I have had proper make-up once when a friend and I went for a photo shoot in London but we are not sure what they did to me..
Hopefully it will all work out once we get some advice... Just wondered if anyone else has gotten confused by this??
Been with my gorgeous 5years :)

I love make-up, I don't wear it everyday but I love using it for special occasions. I know it is confusing I taught myself when I was a teenager, I would read magazines they give a lot of tips. I now look at utube videos they can be helpful, a lot of people do wedding make-up videos and talk you through the products and how to use them. I'll find you a good one and put it on your wall :)

I don't wear much make up. Eye shadow, liner and mascara is my lot during the week and at the weekend if I'm out,. If I go to an event like posh dinner or a wedding or christening I'll do a full face but it takes forever.
From someone who doesn't do much makeup can i suggest the following for stay on all day and natural looking makeup in the order I apply it:
C1@r!n5 be@uty f1@5h b@lm C1iniqu3 concealer for any blemishes and under the eyes to smooth things out and hide dark circles B@r3 m1n3r@15 foundation for full face coverage, ensure you use the mineral veil to set it and have a flawless finish No7 pencil eyeliner for a softer look D10R beige, brown and gold eyeshadow No7 liquid eyeliner just a thin application along the lashes line top and bottom for definition C1!niqu3 high impact mascara E5tee L@ud3r blusher
Takes me about 30 minutes to apply it all myself.

Oops, forgot to mention the lips. I just use a C1iniqu3 lip gloss that enhances my natural lip colour x

I don't wear make-up day-to-day, and if I go our somewhere special, I only wear a little. As I'm very blonde, I think it doesn't suit me, as my eyebrows etc are all blonde. I had 3 makeovers and hated them, so I will be doing my own. I just looked on the internet for advice. I bought a face, lip and eye primer. I will just wear a foundation (or mineral powder), maybe some eye shadow, and some lipstick
My staple make up us mascara it's all I need and off I go so want to look as natural with make up as possible but am going to gave it done and trials done etc

Just go natural- a bit of foundation to give you a lovely creamy complexion, natural looking blush and some mascara. If you don't wear a lot day to day, it'll make a big difference if no one's used to seeing you made up.

There's already a lot of good advice. I found some good tutorials and information on how/what make up to use on U toob.

If you are going make up shopping, the staff are very good at advising.
If you don't usually wear make up have you thought about a tinted moisturiser rather than a full on foundation? It may look more subtle and you will still feel like you?
I personally don't think you can go wrong with URb@N D3C@Y.

I don't wear make up either, only very rarely on a night out. One of my Sisters is doing mine for me :o)
When my Sister got married we went for a shopping trip and she visited a make up counter where they did her make up for her and she bought all the bits and pieces they'd used. They were brilliant and even gave her the name of the person who'd served her and a telephone number in case she had any questions etc.

I also use tinted moisturiser if I'm in a rush as it's faster to put on than mineral foundation, I used this for our engagement shoot and my skin looked flawless x

I agree with the ladies, go to some make up counters and get them to do it for you. See which one you prefer and then ask for some testers to take home and use them on your wedding day. That way, because you're not wearing make up every day you're not wasting a load of money on buying products that you will use once, and they always give you more than enough.
I have very pale skin and find it hard to get foundation that is right for me. I used D10r forever on my wedding day which my make up artist recommended, and it was brilliant. Lasted all day and didn't feel heavy at all. I use Cl4r1n5 day to day now which is as good if you don't want a full coverage.

I don't wear make up either my make up bag consists or eyeshadow mascara and lip gloss my friends try to get me to wear more but I have flawless skin and I like it that way. However I decided to try make up for my engagement party so got the last I was thinking of going to for my big day make up to do a sort of trial and I loved how I looked it completely transformed me and I looked and felt a million dollars, needless to say I booked her for my wedding make up.
I was going to learn how to do it myself but I just feel lost I was going to go to the make up counters in the big department store starting with D and see what I could get but I will leave that for another time.

I have to wear makeup for work, it's drawn into uniform guidelines as foundation, mascara, blusher and lipstick are a definite,we can have warnings if we don't,but I work in travel.
I would go with primer, then a little concealer under the eyes, then a liquid foundation(rimmel 24hr works best for me and only £7) as it blends properly with a foundation brush. Then with an all over face brush, brush over pressed powder in translucent to set the foundation and stop it looking shiny. Bit of powder blush, Then mascara to open up eyes (maybelline I use) and a bit of khol eyeliner to brighten and open, then a little eyebrow khol to fill in any gaps (TAKES 5mins)
Velcro...my wedding day twinny! The Two Kel's!

I would not use too much make up if you don't usually wear it. Maybe a slight amount of foundation or concealer to hide any blemishes, a very light shade of lipstick/gloss and maybe a touch of mascara. You don't want to end up not looking like you.

I wear eyeliner and eye shadow sometimes.. the rest is all a bit too much for me. I am a mega tomboy most of the time, I have my hair short so I don't have to do much to it and I don't understand how to wear dresses properly. I will explain the last one lol. I wear dresses once in a blue moon because my h2b loves me in them but I don't know how to sit properly in a dress, I am a trouser wearing gal who sits like a man, legs open etc lol. >> I haven't even though about what I am doing for hair and make up on my wedding yet. I will probably leave it last minute.. just for a change xD

Hi! Im exactly the same, I don't ever wear make up so I was feeling the same until last weekend. A close friend of mine is getting married in 4 weeks and as a bridesmaid she'd booked us in for a make up lesson at Benef!t in London. I was so nervous as I had no clue whatsoever... The lady was lovely and went through everything she applied from the beginning. The make up is so light, it didn't really feel like I had any on - it looked so natural! The photos are so lovely, a flawless look. I ended up coming away with a fair bit of make up and considering I never wore any I surprised myself with how much I bought, I also now apply a little bit each day. The lessons were really good, reasonable price and id recommend :)
