oh i thought it said platinum and palladium hence the confusion. sowry

Yes I have a pic of my engagement ring in my albulm. Not taken a pic of the wedding band yet but it all matches. We were even picky and said we wanted the diamonds parallel haha! Finger a bit red in the piccy as I had just tried getting the bugga off. Its a tight fit by the knuckle but due to dodgy shaped hands, loose around the main bulk of the bottom of the finger. The old ring was the same but I dont want to put platinum balls or anything on it. Its fine when the wedding band is on and doesnt spin then.

our rings were £950 for both.mine is an 18k white gold with tiny diamonds around in a wishbone design and h2b is 9k white gold with deep sqiggles engraved around.we got £40.00 knocked off and free plating on my white gold engagement ring.yey. we were told by a few jewllers that its best to have same caret as engangement ring and type or they end up tarnishing quicker....dont know how true it is.xx

I know. I had the wedding band on but david wanted me to not put a pic of it on facebook and we were not exactly careful about getting them all off. Also, the small diamond was rubbing when I first got it so I must admit I was worried but no red marks now and I have had it 4 days :) Must have just been getting used to it perhaps.

I just hate the shape of my fingers. Its so awkward having huge knuckles and skinny fingers :( Just lucky that in 4 months the wedding band will go on and then it shouldnt spin. It does spin less than the first ring as its a thicker band (which is also making it more difficult to get off), I have just played with it now.... so much simpler to get it off by twisting instead of yanking haha!

The price of gold has risen... it fluctuates I think... I didn't mean cheaper than the gold - my bad I didn't word it right. But 18k white gold would have been £310 - platinum £320 and the palladium was £240 9k gold was £245... These prices were different than our first quote where platinum and palladium were way way above gold prices x

    Here comes the bride......

palladium used to be cheap but now due to its popularity, it is defo going up. Still one of the cheapest to buy overall though at the minute but watch this space. May be a good investment in the future? Our jeweller said it will be the new platinum one day... we were surprised by this but it just goes to show how trends change

What she bought cost 79 and had 80, the woman said would you like a polishing cloth for 4, (no) she then asked is about 6 times, so you would like to loose your pound, err yea.

Our Palladium rings were way more expensive then 18ct white gold, but overall i prefer it as they wont fade or go yellowish needing the rhodium plating constantly.
We were not going to spend so much on the wedding rings, but we both found exactly what we were hoping for so we thought.oh well!, we will be wearing them for the rest of our lives, so might as well love them....and as was already said, it dont matter how expensive, or non expensive they are - as long as you love them and the what it symbolises, xxxx

We have only just started looking at rings and am a little stuck!! My engagement ring is a funny shape, so it will need to be custom made to fit properly. I only want a plain 9ct white gold band which is shaped in 2mm, but not really too sure where to go for it....any suggestions would be great, we live in Berkshire so London is a option. We met with the designer at Ernest jones but he was rude and uninterested, but quoted £556 which seems high for a plain ring with no diamonds!!

Has anyone tried******* Wedding Rings before? The bring the rings to you at home as they are a online company....but i'm not too sure about them!! Thanks :-)

Mine was about 500 and h2b's about 400 but we got 10% off because it's from the same place as my e-ring.
Both plain platinum. Mine is 2.5mm I wanted it thin to match my e-ring, it's a flat court shape, and h2b's is 6mm palladium. Really simple but really lovely.

Ours were from an independent jeweller with a workshop in store and they've been so wonderful. H2b was so impressed he said any future jewellery will be from there. (eternity ring, eternity ring, eternity ring! haha!)

We can't comment on how good we are on the forum as that would be advertising but there are several recent threads about what people think of us.
Booking an appointment doesn't commit you to anything as there's absolutely no obligation to buy. Most appointments only take an jour or so and you get dome free gifts even if you don't order your rings from us.
Have a look at the other trhreads and see what people say about us.

Right from the start we decided the three most important things to us were
    The venue
    The rings and
    The photos
So because of this we decided these are the things we would spend a little extra on and not actually have a PROPER budget for, they would cost what they cost to have what we wanted!
This is because to US the venue sets the tone for the whole day so we had to get it right
The rings are the only thing that we would use everyday for the rest of our lives and would last beyond the actual wedding day.
Same with the photo's, although not used everyday they too last beyond the day and would remind us of what a great day it was in years to come..................so these things we are willing to pay more for!

With that said back to your question.
We will be getting our rings from that lovely online site that comes on here quite a bit
H2b's ring will be a 5mm 2tone 9ct white gold ring with a square cut diamond in the middle which costs £335
Mine will be a 3mm 9ct white gold ring which will have one big diamond in the middle then two smaller diamonds each side of it to represent me (the middle) and my family members (h2b and 3 kids) and this costs £385! (all square cut to match my engagement rings diamond)
Yes they will cost more then most but they will be custome made to exactly how we want them and like I said we will be wearing them for the rest of our lives so worth every penny in my opinion!

When we started looking at rings I knew exactly what I wanted. My egagement ring is pink sapphire and diamonds and I wanted a wedding ring with pink sapphires in too. It took ages to find one that was in the budget but surprisingly enough I found the perfect one on Amazon for £129. H2B wanted something really lightweight but something a little different to just a plain gold bank. Managed to find the exact ring for him, it's black titanium and was £60. Although buying them last year probably was a bad idea as we have each lost 3 stone and the rings are now too big.

Sorry to bring this discussion back up again! I'm just curious how you all managed to find your wedding rings for such a reasonable price? Just to be nosey we went into the jewellers where my engagement ring was bought, and a platinum wedding band with diamonds for me was £1500, and a palladium with a few small diamonds for my partner was £1095 - thats over £2.5k just for two rings?! I did mention to him we should check out the diamond quarter in birmingham as a number of people I work with have got engagement rings/wedding rings from there. Just wondering if anyone here has bought their's from birmingham, is the quality really good? Do you have to pay upfront or are your able to pay monthly? We want something really good quality that we absolutely love but don't want to be paying a fortune for them! :-)

As mentioned before in a different thread, I'm odd and so is my OH. We're not having rings mainly because Andrew has extra webbing between his ring and middle fingers but also because we wanted to do something different. At the ceremony we're exchanging engraved leather bracelets with our vows on and we're having the infinity symbol tattooed on our ring fingers.

In total they comes to £35 each.

Ours were really cheap! H2B will only wear his on weekends most likely as he probs won't wear it to work, and as I can only have a plain band due to work, we got some titanium ones. About £60 for both, but they are so comfy as they are flat on the outside, and the inside is rounded so sits comfy on your finger.

I cant remember how much ours were but we didnt go to a chain but instead somewhere in chester who made bespoke rings.

for£2800 he changed the style of my E.ring due to issues when I brought it somewhere else, and I have 0.90 carats diamonds in an eternity style setting for my wedding band, hubby to be half way round black diamonds. Both rings platinum. Both rings worth over 4000 so bespoke is cheaper than high street. We received a quote from a high street for just daves and they quoted 3k as if!
