so all 5 of my bridesmaids are payin for their own dresses £165 each, i have paid for shoes £30 each, paying for hair on day for them £15-£20 each and paying for gellac on their toes ( cos peeptoe shoes) about £15 each, paid for their accessories £17 each,

one is my neice that hasnt help with anything ( my mum has paid half of her dress) shes not cumin on my hen do, other is h2b sister, she cumin on hen do but whenever i asked her to do sumting for weddin she says 'its ure weddin'

then my moh & chief bm are my sister n best friend that have done everything for me ( mum paid for half of sisters dress too) my chief runs me abotu everywhere ( always has but i do give petrol money lol i dont drive) then theres my very good friend that does alot too paid for hen ntie already lol she does loads for me takes me places too!

so how much wud u spend? i reckon last 3 deserve more

Do you mean spend on dresses or gifts?

Well i have bought all their dresses, and will be paying for their hair on the day too, i will be giving each one of them a necklace (2 were gifts from a well known ring company) so i have to buy another 2 which is great :) which i would like them to wear on the day, then i will be making up mini 'thank you' hampers as gifts also, which i am collecting bits and bobs for when i see things.
I have asked if they can sort their own shoes out so they can be comfy etc...xx

I'm doing the same as Stevie as my mom has been really generous and got my dress and helped towards bm's costs - so got them bouquets but will treat my mom to something special on the day. My bridesmaids are my best mate and sis, my sis has done more so got them both watches but spent more on the sisters :-)

Like Kev's Angel's idea of thank you hampers,how lovely. I treated my sis to her shoes as she always wears flats/trainers so won't get much wear out of them, my friend had a lovely pair that looked the same.

I wouldn't go over the top as some times it can be a bit over whelming and something that should be special can go a miss if you give them too much.

I think for the thank you gift you need to give them all the same, then for the 3 who've helped you more you could give them something extra separately from the wedding so the others don't know about it!

I am spending around £200 all in. Thats their accessories, dresses, bouquets and shoes. 2 of them are doing their own hair and make up and 1 is paying to have hers done professionally. I wouldve offered to pay for their hair an make up but it wouldve cost me £285 pound and I am on such a tight budget I just cant afford it. They understand though.

i have just read a status on fb that h2b sister has replied to sayin ' i need all help i can get for THAT weddin' so i replied sayin i dotn like my weddin being referred to as 'that' wedding

i dont want her to be my bridesmaid anymore!!! i dont want sum1 there that refers to my special day as 'that'

i so wanna!!! this is not the first thing i have had wiv her this week, i texted her sayin i think the dress has to be paid either nov or feb time.... ( i also asked if she was payin or he rmum) she replied sayin its your weddin!!!! so i replied sayin its ure dress and ure a bm to help me not show up on day ready she replied sayin I AM!!!!!

Tell your man to sort her out. Is she quite young? Maybe she is being a spoilt wee brat. Tell her not to bother being a BM if she is going to be like that
