    Hi all,

We are looking into honeymoons at the moment and would love to go to Lake garda in Italy.

Just wondering how much spending money you are thinking of taking away for the two of you on honeymoon?

    Thanks x

We've over-estimated and are REALLY hoping to come back with lots of unspent cash, but have allocated £600 for 4 nights in Rome (need to pay for two train journeys though), and £1000 for 7 nights in Sorrento. Hopefully we'll come back with at least £500 to pay off some wedding debts!

We are having a pre loaded currency card as we hate the amount you lose when exchanging currencies. Its bit like a credit card only you don't have a credit check as its your money that you put on there in the first place. We have used them before and always come back with plenty left over but not scrimped while away. They are easy you can get them in Dollar, euro. or sterling. You can put as little or as much on, no fees and most cards have no fee withdrawals at atm's while on holdiay. I can post a link to your wall if you are interested. xx

We went all inclusive to Malta for a week and took £1000. We finished up bringing back just less than half of that though.

We usually budget £100 for every day that we are away (including travel days), and then if there is anything in particular we want to do we add that on ...

for instance we went to Hong Kong and Beijing for our honeymoon, but wanted to go see the Teracotta Army when we were in China ... we researched it and found it would be £300 each ... but it's highly unlikely we'll go back to China so we took an empty cedit card with us just in case we decided to do it ... and we did.

we are going all inclusive and are taking whatever we get from the wedding as we are kindly asking for honeymoon money for presents as we currently don't have our own home and just want to have a fabulous wedding and honeymoon. Its all good really and i hope that we can do this i think we would budget £100 per day but to be honest i've never been to tunisia and don't know anyone that has been so i don't know what you can get for your money.

Thanks ladies, so I'm guessing £100 a day is what we should aim for. I do like to have more than needed when I go on holiday and then it's a bonus if you come back with some.
Having an empty credit card is good idea MelN, just incase something takes your fancy and you dont't have the cash.

we will be going with approx £1k for 7 nights, on our usual family all inclusive holiday we would normally spend about that with every thing the kids want so we figured that would be plenty for the 2 of us, hopefully bringing some home
