I need to start saving but don't know how much would be a reasonable price. I want to go somewhere that I will probably never go again for about 2 weeks. I have been abroad to spain, canary islands etc but never somewhere that has amazed me!

This could be my one and only chance as I am sure we will have children soon after so....

Haven't booked ours yet but looking at Cyprus which is around £1000 each. We would have loved to go to somewhere like Caribbean but didn't find anything but rediculous prices. Where would you ideally want to go? xxx

We'll probably spend up to £6k; we pay around £3800-4600 already between us for our 2 week summer holiday and want our honeymoon to be extra special :-) We'll prob go to Mexico all inc as we love it there and the resorts are great.

You can get a fab honeymoon for much less; best bet is to narrow down what type of holiday you want, consider the weather at the time of year you're going, and go from there. As a guide, you can get 2 weeks all inc at a high-end resort in Mexico, the DR or Cuba for around £1300-1700 pp in the summer (outside the holidays); you can also get great deals to places like Thailand, and the Travel Collection do multi-centre trips in places like China, Malaysia, India etc for up to £2k pp peak season. Maldives is also popular; a high-end resort will usually cost over £2k pp if you want food and drink included

We are going to Spain for two weeks in a penthouse apartment. With spending money and flights it's costing about £2400

We went last August. It was h2b's first time abroad and we liked it so much we are going back to the same place :)

£1200 of that money is spending money, we like to take a lot so have no worries. People have said why didn't we go all inclusive, well we don't want to or we would wouldn't we lol!! ;0)

We went to Malta for our honeymoon. Because I work in a school we could only go in the holidays which made it more expensive - but we got a week all inclusive in a fantastic hotel (see view balcony, rooftop bar, own nightclub etc) for £1600 for the two of us, which wasn't too bad for August. The weather was perfect (early 30's every day, plenty of time for sunbathing as well as loads of sightseeing as well).

We're going to Secrets Wild Orchid hotel in Jamaica - adults only luxury all inclusive. We paid £4,600 for both of us. Sooooo can't wait - haven't been on holiday since 2009! We decided to add on their preferred club package for an extra £600 - not sure if it's going to be worth it but what the hell! It is our honeymoon after all :o) xx

We had 5 nights in Hong Kong and 5 nights in Beijing - B&B 4* (general standards are better over there so didn't see the need to pay for 5*) was £3000 not including spending money. When we were in Beijing we went to see The Terracotta Army which cost another £600, but we decided that we might not go back to China so we should do it. We budgeted £150 a day for spending money, so in total it cost us a little over £5000.

We're having a 7-night red sea cruise visiting Egypt and Jordan for £2329 which includes flights and an all-inclusive drinks package... normally I wouldn't be able to justify spending so much on a holiday (I'm more of a camping around the UK kinda person lol), but it's something I've wanted to do ever since I was a kid and it felt like too good an opportunity to turn down... it'll only be my third time abroad and first time out of Europe and for my partner the first time he has been abroad apart from going to Pakistan. So excited! :D

Nothing cause were not having one lol

With 3 kids its very hard to go anywhere so we decided instead of a honeymoon we would have a family moon/holiday 2-5 years after the wedding and go to disney florida to renew our vows just the 5 of us...........no idea how much that will cost tho as i have 8-9 years to wait lmao

Matt said he might find a last min long weekend deal tho nearer to the wedding to new york or the lake district for the 2 of us, so who knows

We did a road trip round California as we're not beach holiday people, cost £1300 BA flights, 2 weeks car hire £400 for a jeep with satnav (petrol is v.cheap). Hotels were approx £70 per nite but can get less as we had a mix of motels and nice ones for treats, asked for dollars from guests as our wedding gift so we had some spending money and appreciated all donations which were put to good use.

I think you just go for the type of holiday you like and something suitable to your budget, some of us can spend more some less as everyone has different circumstances but whatever you do or wherever you go it will be really special.

We're looking at about £3300 for 2 weeks, that's also covering lost wages as none of us have paid vacation time.

Ideally, we want to spend 2 weeks in New Zealand, a week in a nice hotel, and a week driving from North to South in a campervan! Priced it roughly up and it's probably gonna come to about 5k, obviously a very long time in the future for us though, so may have decided that's too much money by then (it certainly feels it right now!)
