My ring is solid 22ct is worth over £800 but it was my nanas so luckily i dont have to pay for it, it has cost £45 to resize. If i was actually buying one i wouldnt pay more than £150 for me. For my H2b we are looking to pay around £100 x
CommentAuthordolly
the two things that are going to last passed the wedding day are the rings and photographs, so were making sure we spend a good amout of money on them, however my blokes ring is only about £50-100 titamiuam, so he can wear it to work and scracthes and stuff dont matter. =)

Same here dolly spending on photo's and rings as they last beyond the day and the rest were cost cutting where we can. Except the venue which is coming in at £3000 all in and the parents have offered to pay half each for that :-)

we had budgeted 500 for both rings... H2B wants titanium so that's not too bad... I've seen one i like 750 but it's in Goldsmiths so saving Tesco's club points to help so may end up getting it fingers crossed still have ages to save x
CommentAuthorginge23
Mines is shaped to fit my e ring and has 6 diamonds in it my friend is a jewler so I got it for a bargain of £135 H2B is getting made at the moment by the same friend for 80.x

Ours will probably be a couple hundred $ CDN as we intend to buy ours at Raffi's in Waterloo where we got my engagement ring from :D
CommentAuthorgoldylocks661
I'm doing the Tesco thing for Goldsmiths too, I have £150 which can get me £600 of rings, and my H2B is a farmer and swears he doesn't want one, so think i'll get his from argos and use the vouchers to treat myself!
CommentAuthorMrs (Dove) Pidgeon
If he doesn't want one, why buy one for him? Even more money to spend elsewhere.

This is the one area we're not scrimping on, although we did get a huge discount. We're paying £1400 for both rings. Mine is plat (to with E ring) with 8 diamonds in (had to be custom made due to shape of E ring) and H2B's is palladium, 6mm with beveled edge. I totally think that you should get what you can afford and we've cut back on other areas to enable us to have these. x

we have spent £400 on each ring. it is more than we wanted to but we both love our rings and we will be wearing it forever so thought it was worth it. if i had seen a cheaper ring i loved then i would have got that. it doesnt matter the price as long as you like it xx
CommentAuthorBrissy_Bride
We're not shopping for wedding rings yet... I'm designing my engagement ring, platinum with probably a solitaire diamond. It will probably be 1000-1500 :-/

My ring will be £200-300 and I am hoping we can get Rob's for a similar price
Jo with the Goldsmiths thing you exchange your club card reward vouchers for Goldmsiths vouchers - they are now only worth 3x the value of the clubcard vouchers but there is no limit to how many vouchers you use to convert to Goldsmiths, but they may put a time limit on when the Goldsmiths vouchers you get in return have to be used by :) xxx

To those who didn't want to spend much for fear of damaging them at work, how about buying a cheap but tough one to wear at work and a nicer one for out-of-work? or you could wear it on a chain around your neck? (If 'Elf and Safety will allow it?! lol)
We got ours from Bay of E and paid a total of about £100 for them both including postage, ring box and engraving (Yes, they did fit perfectly). They are titanium with a black aztec pattern around them, will try and get a pic up later.
CommentAuthorboo
We're looking at £100 each for our rings (I really need to stay on track with the budget instead of adding to it all the time)

Mine was £850, hubby's was £200. We got a fair bit of a discount and ended up paying £850 for both of them. Both 9ct gold. Mine has diamonds in, hubby's is just a plain band. We got free engraving on both, 3 free silver pendants for bridesmaids and my engagement ring cleaned up for free. My engagement ring came from a well known high street retailer, but we decided to go to an independent jewellers for wedding rings. I work for a jewellery wholesalers but didn't want to get them from work, just went to one of our customers instead! (I didn't tell them that though)

We are around £1700 for both, we the majority going on my platinum and diamond one. My oh wants a stainless Damascus steel ring

Mine was meant to be £550 but I got it for £450ish as it was in the sale at the time. OH's was £350. Mine 18ct white gold with diamonds and OH's is 9ct white gold I think.

We are thinking around £300 each probably.
OH and I are both very keen on local workshops where you go together and make each other's rings - will almost certainly be a pricier option but what a special day and fab memories to share together <3
CommentAuthorStephH96
Oooh that sounds interesting, is it just a company local to you or is there a nationwide one that has workshops?

Steph there are several fairly local to us in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. There seems to be plenty nationally, London, York etc. If you g00g1e wedding ring workshops something should pop up x
Emily I emailed for quotes and to book after posting this, I hope the one we chose to go with gets back to us soon so we can book a place, we've both agreed that we both want the experience and to invest in our rings as they are the part we keep forever. So exciting!
CommentAuthorMrsThomson2B
I budgeted £800 for both of ours, my ring was £699 and his £550 but EJ were doing 20% off when you bought 2 18ct gold rings and the I got a gift card for the remainder through my work which gave us an extra 12.5% off so they came in £30'under budget and I got the ring I wanted without compromising xx
CommentAuthorLornaB75
we spent £70 each on ours. mine was from warren james on sale which has now reduced down to £30 I wish I had waited now! got my partners of ebay same price :)
CommentAuthorjen1717
I am budgeting about £600-800 for both, but at the moment I have no idea what I want because I haven't tried any on with my engagement ring. I have also heard about the workshops where you make them and will look into it when the time comes.
CommentAuthorLeanneR0186
We paid £1400 for ours, should have been £1600 but got some discount because we saw them at a wedding fair. They are both platinum and my band has diamonds on so think we got a good deal really. x
