Hi guys, was just wondering, those of you having sweet buffets- how many should I provide? I'll have 100-120 people in the evening. I'm not sure how many types, which sweets and how many to get. Have seen online retailers seeling in bags of 500, 750g and 1kg- have no idea how many this would be!
Any advice would be gratefully received- thanks! C x

when i was looking at getting a company to do my sweet table they were quoting for 150g per person so that would be about 15kg of sweets for 100 people i wouldn't cater for everyone as not everyone will have some and although some people will have loads other will just pick. my sister in law did a really big sweet buffet for her renewal in April they had plenty of sweets and even took loads home this was her table x

not sure what sweets are ok for veggies i have never really thought of it the big bags would be catering size bags but i guess it depends on how many different types of sweets you want and what sort of style table you want to go for.
i going for loads small dishes ses and jars instead of the big martini and fish bowls so will be having more varities and will be going for 500g to 750g of sweets myself thought the most popular i will probably get in 1kg bags x

OK I've got black jacks, fruit salads, cherries, foam hearts, white mice, cola bottles, jelly beers, snakes, lollies and love hearts. Is that sufficient?? BM also making ferrero rocher trees. xx

this is a stupid question but can you still eat the sweets if they're on a tree?! I get that the lolly pops can just be plucked off... but aren't all the normal sweets stuck on with plaster?!

My OH is veggie and so are plenty of his family and friends so can't eat 'jelly' sweets so will be doing fudge/toffee, nuts, chocolates etc for them. We are looking to have 15-20 different sweets.

I do 10 varietys for 50 people 12 varietys for 100 15 varietys for 150+ and an average of 150g per person although some people pick some like to take goody bags home too, as for the sweet trees I use cocktail sticks or sugar glue xx
