I'm making all my own stationery, and am trying to figure out how many menus to put on each table - we're having round tables of 8 - H2B thinks each table should have 2/3 menus, but I'm not sure this will look too crowded - but then is 1 not enough to go round? It's a set menu. I just don't want the tables too cluttered and for focus to be taken away from the centrepieces - what does everyone think? x

We'll have tables of 8 as well. I haven't really thought of menus though hehe...umm...I'm used to not being given a menu, often the toastmaster starts the dinner by reciting the menu when I've been to weddings.
Otherwise I think 1 would be fine really as it's a set menu, it's not like they really need it to be fair xx

Suppose it might be best - 1 on each side maybe

True Annette - it's not like there's a choice with a set menu! I haven't really been to a huge amount of weddings to be honest, so not sure what the norm is!

yeah, or just have 1 list next to your table plan so people can look at it when they look where they're sitting?

Yeah one on each side might look nice, are you doing them A5 or A4?
edit; oh and are you having them standing up or lying down?

They're 7' x 5'. And they're in a greeting card format - I really need to get some photos on my profile! I'll do it tomorrow!

We had this problem but as we too have a set menu we are leaning towards just having one per table

our options for ours menus are....

1, A menu in each place setting tucked into the napkin with a rose on top so 8 per table
    OR
2, A perspex menu in the centre of each table so one per table

We are also putting the menu into the wedding booklets so im leaning more towards the second option to be honest as it is a set menu so dont really need it!

I like option 2, especially as the menu's also in the booklet! Will save you some printing cost as well! ;)

nickers - I think they probably would provide them if I asked, but I want them to match all the other stationery I've made :)

we're sending out the menu in the invite, so i'll just get some extra ones printed and shove one on each table just to remind everyone what they are having
