Ok so I no this is way too early to be stressing about this but its on my mind!
my venue (see my pics) has a lovely oak staircase leading down in to the ceremony room, in my imagination I see myself effortlessly floating down the stairs while linking my dads arm, everyone looking at me, smiling etc. In reality, I see myself flatting flat on my face, pulling my dad down the stairs with me and us both landing in a heap at the bottom with the all the guests laughing histerically!
So... I can hold the rail with one hand, link my dads arm the other side, but then I have to hold my flowers too?! How is this going to work!

Make sure you practice your walk over and over until you feel confident.
And maybe have your maid of honour hold the train of dress if it long so you dont fall.

How about walking down the stairs holding the banister and your flowers, then meeting your dad at the bottom linking arms with him then both walking down the isle to your future?
Saw this on a programme the other day it looked gorjus.

You should be fine, just have a practice run. Have any of you ladies thought about how you'll use the loo? Thats whats worrying me!

I have a staircase too! I think I'll walk down and meet mum (who is giving me away) at the bottom. Nicci as for the loo thing apparantly the best way to do it is to sit on the loo the wrong way ie straddle the loo and face the back of the toilet, or if your venue has a disabled loo use that then there is lots of room for your dress and think very carefully about underwear, i reckon that in this situation tights would be a nightmare.

Take a thought for me, i'm going to be getting ready in a tent, so that means either a tiny toilet or even a portaloo. xx

OMG melly thats really brave how about not drinking anything so you dont have to wee! Have you got a big dress? maybe someone could get you a commode then you could straddle that in your tent.

Dont think about it it will be fine when you actually do it. If you think too much about it you will fall! On the day you will be far more nervous about other stuff anyway it'll go out of your mind hehe

You could always go down the stairs in your dressing gown and get dressed in the hall?

lol! to be honest I'm not that bothered about elegant, i'd be satisfied with staying upright. I'm also a bit worried about the flowergirl and pageboy who will be 5 and 2! you know what kids are like ha ha x
