I have the same invitation for everyone and will only put names on envelopes. As I have to send them to a different counry it will be formal.

I wrote the invites to my parents using their first names, then my Mum said that she wanted to be called 'Mum and Dad' on them so I gave her new ones! Ask them what they want to be called! x

Good question, Think I would do something along the lines of first names with mum & dad in brackets. Mil is writting invites so she can put what she likes on her own. Although I might write hers as a surprise.

What do you put if all your invites are going to be worded like " Karen and Paul would like to invite you to the marriage of their daughter Stacey to Kristian" but a bit more formally with surnames in you cant send one like that to my mum and dad can i?

    i didnt think about this!!

I think we'll end up putting Mum and Dad at least on my parents - as my mother would get great mileage out of teasing me for calling her Heather, it'll just make it easier!!

I'm unsure on this one, Think I might go for "Mother of the Bride" for my mum, and "Dear unwanted guests" in the in-laws

I wrote my mum's name and she wasnt' too impressed, said it felt too formal and distant! So for uncles etc I wrote uncle on them but each to their own eh!
