I am having my hen and Joe his stag a week before our wedding. One of my BMs have said its a really bad idea to do this as I will be really busy and basically told me i was a fool!!
But Joe's stag is a festival in the Isle of Wright and that dat cant be changed. I thought it would be a good idea to have the hen and stag the same weekend so i will not be thinking of what he is getting up too.
What do you ladies think??

Do what you want! Most things will be sorted by then and you'll know what you need to do and what needs doing! If it was the night before i would say you are crazy but its your choice if your happy with it then go with it

Were having ours 20 days before our wedding and people think thats too late! To be honest i think it sounds fine. As long as you havnt got so much rushing around to do in the last week (which is pretty impossible) then you should be fine.. Just get most things sorted before your hen party. What are you doing for your hen? i dont advise paintballing a week before the wedding. You dont want bruises on your big day lol..

i think it is fine! everything will be done by then and if you d have anything to do it wont be a lot. i am having mine on 21st may but not getting married till 30th july. i think mine is too far apart but it is only time it can be done. i am also planning on going to turkey for a weekend 2 weeks before the wedding aswell as i figured everything would be done x
i think its fine... i wouldnt do it just beacause i get 3 day hang overs now and spots after a big drinking session so im going for 4 weeks before to give my skin time to recover !! (vain ?? hell yes!!)
but i like the sound of having it on the same night as h2bs stag thou that way your occupied!!

My H2B wants his the weekend before the weddin but I would rather do it earlier. As we both work full time that weekend before will be the last spare time we have to do last minute arrangements and stuff - and there's always something that needs doing isn't there!! He wants to be quite traditional and have it as close to the wedding as possible but I'm worried its too close!

the hen nite isnt the problem it sthe stag nites...... they can get silly ie eyebrows being shaved off etc! h2b havin his about 6 weeks before! i wudnt do 2 days before either cos u need a day to recover and the day b4 weddin u be busy!

We're having our hen & stag do's the week before, mailny becuase we have people coming from overseas that we want to be part of them. I'm sure it'll be fine - we're not organising them so it's up to the BM & MOH to arrange and no stress for us!

im having mine beginning of april was onlyweekend we could fit it with everything else going on, doing a hag do at our house easter weekend so our friends can meet oneanother so they know some people on the wedding day and also doing spa day the sunday before wedding with just me mum & 2 bridesmaids for a bit of chill out time xx

We are having our hen and stag on the same night aswel because a few of our friends have major problems when their ohs go out so if we are all out at the same time they wont think about it, hopefully. We are having ours 5 weeks before because i dont no what they will do to him like send him to france or something stupid like that lol x

I think we are having ours about 2 or 3 weeks before. Maybe even a month.
But we most likely wont have it on the same night/weekend.
Only because - if anything at all should happen - Like i fall over and break my leg or something silly (god forbid!!!) then i would want him to come get me and take me to hospital. and the same thing for him if something bad happens to him I want to be free, available and sober so I can go rescue him!!
i would not be able to enjoy my hen knowing he was on his stag at the same time!!
we hardly ever spend time apart and since we've been together we have not been 'out' without each other so it will be a little strange!

Kev is having his 6 weeks b4 the wedding... as his son is in the army and cant get leave for the wedding (sad) but hes able to come on 6 weeks b4 so thats a great time for kev to have his stag...
Also if anything happens to him.. ie shaved eyebrows or something silly, he has time to grow them back b4 the wedding LOL

I'll be teaching by the time we marry, and want my hen do in the May half-term; we've set a date for August 1st 2014, so the hen do will be WAY before the wedding. My reasons behind it are that teaching is extremely stressful and I think that trying to teach, do last-minute things, and enjoy a hen-do on top of the wedding will be too much; plus, we want to go abroad, so unless we go for just 1 night, I can't go during school time; going in half-term will mean we can go for 2 nights comfortably.
But, I'd like to go for some low-key drinks/cocktails the previous week I think, I think you need some time to relax, de-stress and let your hair down :-)

me and h2b have been together just over 2 years and yeah sometimes he will go to the cinema with his mates, or i go over to a mates house to watch tv or something. But no we never go 'out' without each other.
hold on I lie - he did go to the pub with his soon to be best man when he was getting married, it wasnt his stag do as his stag was in barcalona, but they did go for a few pints and I picked him up at about 10:30pm. hehe god we sound like such losers!!
we pretty much do everything together, he's coming with me tomorrow to the bridal shop to pick out bridesmaid dresses!! :)

im having mine 2 months before as we are going to ascot so its got to be in June and the stags are doing theirs the week afterwards. I thought that maybe it might be easier to have it a while before so its easier for everyone moneywise. theyve then got another payday inbetween so that they can spend more on the actual day xxx

I'm having mine the night before.. but its very low key! Just a bottle of wine and BMs and few friends, nothing outrageous and I dont drink much so wont be hungover and I've told them I need to be in bed by 10! So most probably will involve few pizzas, bottle of wine and some girly DVDs! H2B will be over his mum and dads with his best man and a SMALL crate of beer! I emphasize the word SMALL!!! Cant do it before then as most people travelling to us for the wedding so wont see them until the day before anyway and would be a nightmare to organise any other way.
