I went to a wedding fair yesterday and on the cat walk was a woman wearing the most enormous dress i'd even seen in real life - it reminded us all of the ones from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and it got me to thinking - are any of you ladies going for a 'Gypsy' style dress or having a huge meringue??

    Just being nosey!

definitely not ... I'm 5ft 1 and it would drown me! Also, I wouldn't want to be left with scars on my hips!

my dress is huge.. and has a 22 layer underskirt although not as heavy as a gyspy dress as they are made from thick tuille and mines made of silk but its massive and i love it ... but in heels i am 6ft so i can work it!!

I'm only 5Ft so big dresses don't work with my height but everyone likes their own style, would be boring if all wedding dresses were very similar.

    Wow, a real mixed bag!

Although no takers for a proper 'gypsy' style dress! I'd like one that goes out a bit, but not that wide as my aisle is quite narrow!!

What gets me about the dresses on big fat gypsy is that non of them fitted them properly. To say they were made to measure they all were badly fitted around the boobs.

Maybe they like having the 'girls' out on display - so really they're fitted to how they want, rather than what 'normal' people would deem as properly!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't want mine on display either - well only a little bit! - but as we've seen from those awful pictures that were put up the other week of the worst dresses, others think that a little bit of material is ok!!

i vowed to never ever wear one but mum got upset so i put it on and didnt want to take it off.... however, as my friend said, mine looks very classy so theres no way it could look gypsey but I must admit it still worrries me slightly. Pics in profile if anyone wants a nosy
