Me and H2B will hopefully be getting married Aug/Sept 2011. We have quite a small budget compared to the average £20000, our budget is roughly £3000 to spend on everything,we have found some of the 'grand wedding for a grand deals' here and there but I was wondering if anyone knew of any venues that were at a small price but nice venue. were not that fussy where to get married as were both from Leicester but live in Nottingham now(we've even looked at venues in yorkshire,H2B went uni in leeds).Though we do prefer older bildings, I think they have a bit more character. Any ideas please as im starting to go mad with finding a venue. xxx

me too, im in the midlands and everywhere nice is so expensive i feel your pain, i too want an older building with character but just struggling so much

we ae maying at rowton castle. search it in google its lovely. what i liked about it (apart from it being beautiful) is the fact they give you just the room hire as an option instead of having to go for packages and sit down menu, which isnt wat i wanted. we ae having a hog roast :) x

Look at Village halls, sports club etc- a lot cheaper then wedding venues and you have a lot more freedom on what you do.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

we are hoping for the local rugby club, as should be quite big and not too badly priced, but waiting for them to come back to me, I am from Leicestershire x
