woo hoo, we have provisionally booked our wedding reception at Devere Whites hotel, its just what we what. It is a little over our budget but the other venues just don't have all that we wanted. The wedding breakfast will be in one room and you go through a door to the evening reception which is huuugggee!! its good for our guests who want to get away from the noise at night like my 100 year old great aunty :-). Plus the dancefloor is in the middle of the room to separate both sides which i love, the dancefloor also has brass barriers around it, its gorgeous. I have also booked to go and listen to our hopefully wedding singer to be at the end of this month. If we don't like him nothing is lost as we'l be having a three course meal together which will be nice.
now for the bad news, my sister has just found out she has a brain tumour and with rediotherapy and chemo the most she will probably live is three years. im scared to book the venue incase something happens to her so close to the wedding and i will not feel right to go through with it. but my sister is pushing me to hold the wedding saying nothing will stop her from attending but once she has all this treatment she is going to be sooo ill. my dad has also told me that i cant put my life on hold but i just don't want to plan everything and my sister not be there to share the special day with us. She is my MOH. I cannot bring the date closer as for one it will take us to summer 2012 to save up for what we want and 2, my sister may herself may want to get married next year given her circumstances.

Aww what sad news about your sister, hugs x If I were you, I would continue with your current plans as your sister has given you the go ahead to. Am really pleased for you that you have found your perfect venue...and just you wait and see, your sister wil be there for your big day, making it all the more special. x

awww hun i'm so sorry to hear ur sad news big hugs it is hard to do special occasions with things like cancer therapy going on but would you sister want you to have ur wedding? i think so can you not do it earlier to make sure she is here and see's everything? xx

thanks guys, i wont be able to do it earlier due to the cost implications and if my sis wants gets married next year id prefer to do it after so we can concentrate on her special day, the worse thing is that she is only 28 and has a 20month old son sooooo sad xx

God readi g this has made me cry. Your poor family having to deal with that. Sounds to me though that your duster loves you very much & wants you to go ahead & have your dream wedding & both her & your father have said to book it & I think you should. Totally understand why you can't do it earlier. Lots of hugs xxx

That's really sad hun but they're all right even though you're sister will be ill she won't want you to miss out on her account. Just make sure you book her a room at the venue so if she starts to get tired she can go upstairs and rest rather than having to go home Don't worry she WILL be there on your big day xxxxx

thank you, she will be booking a room as her and her fella will be staying over plus theres a room attached separately to the night do so she will be able to get some peace of quiet there too xx
