Oh I thought you had to answer questions about each other lol that's alright then, h2b should be able to cope with that haha :-)
CommentAuthorHa_x3
Ohh actually if i remember correctly you go in seperatly at first answering questions about you both i think, then you go in together after.. its nothing to worry about though

We have to give notice next week.....again! We did it before, but then changed our venue, and as the registrar is pertinent to the venue......when we changed, we now have the whole lot to do again. And working shifts dont make it easy to get down to the registry office together. so it has to be next week when Andy is on early shift. But he gets home at 3 and they shut at 4. thats another £67 we have to pay......and they dont give us the last £67 back! robbing gypsies! thats government stealth!

Its fine, i was really nervous but the registrar was lovely - they do ask you questions apart but i think it was only two, one was what does your h2b do and the other was what is his full name or date of birth - nothing too taxing. I hesitated more on my own questions than the ones about h2b It feels exciting once its done :) Thats rubbish raggedyanne - they already get £70 for about 10 mins work :s
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

All done...I was so nervous. We had to go in seperatly to answer questions first but only each others date of birth, job title, how long we had lived together, stuff like that, easy really, although when she asked me what my dad did for a living I didnt have a clue lol, i know he works for Eddie Stobarts but thats it, she found it funny that I had to ring him up though lol.
Dont know what I was worrying about. They are robbing gits arent they Raggedyanne, she told us that you have to do it again if you change venues, I dont understand what difference it makes though xx

Got a letter today dated 16th March......the day we went to give notice, to tell us the registration cost has gone up to £35 pp, TOUGH! it was dated the day we had been to do it, so we already paid .....they already had one lot of money from us and kept it and charged us again, then sent a letter.....3 days LATE, to say the cost has gone up......come get it then! LOL
How stupid can you get? posting a letter on the day we were there anyway? we was never going to get it in time to pay the new amount was we?
What P******d me off was , the ceremony fees are going up in April from £235 to £265, so I offered to pay it in full on Friday while we were there, but she said although I could pay in full, it would have to be the new price thats due to come in in April.....so they can chuffing well wait for it.

Hi is any one here from Scotland, as we were told we can't give notice until 12 weeks before, and I notice you are all longer than 12 weeks away from your weddings? X

I was told it could be anytime, under a year....so my wedding is 11th August 2012 so the earliest we could do it was 12th August 2011....but it has to be before 6 weeks before the day. Scotland has so many different rules to England...

When we were originally planning to marry in plymouth we had to do this, but i think if you give notice of marriage before booking a venue it wont have to be done again if you change venues etc

The rules are different in Scotland I know as I've had the argument with my Dad about giving notice (he works at Birmingham registry office) notice can only be given up to 3 months before the wedding but no later than 15 days.

in antrim in northern Ireland its 12 months to 6 weeks before the date. However I'm not good at this bit but when i go in august to see our registrar i pay £130 but as far as i know thats booking her to come out to do the service at an approved venue. Will this include the licence or is that a seperate cost?? does anyone know. I had actually thought was everything included, but not sure now after seeing your prices

I think at that price the licence must be separate, but I'm going by Scotland's prices so not sure. You will need to confirm with the registrar. X

Do you need to give notice if your getting married in a church, as I haven't heard about this and do not want to miss it of the list of things to do?
