My h2b and I were talking about who we would be having as our bridesmaid and flowergirls for the wedding and are not sure what to do. I am having my two best friends as adult bridesmaids, then I have a 6 year old and 2 1/2 year old who would be flowergirls. We also have a 9 year old, 3 10 year olds and a 13 year old who we would also like to have but I don't know at what age they would go from being a flower girl to a junior bridesmaid as obviously their dresses would have to be different. So up to what age do you think you would class a girl as being a flowergirl? xxx

P.S. The ages are what they will be when we get married, not what they are now xx

I have a 13 year old, 12 year old as my junior bridesmaids then 8 year old and 1 year old as flower girls. I would say once they turn 10 they are more like bridesmaids, x

I might just have them all as junior bridesmaids as the flower girls are so young. I would agree that 10 is a good cut off but in your group the 9 year old would probably feel left out and out of place if she was made a flower girl.

Yeh I'd agree with the other ladies, have the 2 little ones as flower girls then the 9 year old and other girls as junior bridesmaids and then your adult bridesmaids!! x

I'd say 12 would be the last for flower girl just because most of the venues I've been looking at the child's meals are for 12 and under.
    Thats just me personally.

I would say 9 and under as flower girls and 10 and over as junior bridesmaids then 18 and over as adult!
I have a 10 year old and she would kill me if I classed her as a flower girl as according to her shes not a baby....which is true! lol

You can get some gorgeous junior bridesmaids dresses now that match the adult bridesmaids so they don't all have to be different if you don't want them to be!

Two of my bridesmaids are 2 and 4 years old but they're my bridesmaids not flowergirls. It's up to you what you do, I don't think you have to stick to any rules

I am calling all of my ladies, teenagers and little girls bridesmaids. The little ones will have baskets with flower petals to sprinkle, so I guess they are technically flower girls, but I am saying they are all bridesmaids. Much easier for me to deal with since there are ten of them!! :)

I would choose the junior bridesmaids. One of your flower girls is too young to undertake the job. The least you want on your wedding is your flower girl crying at the ceremony.

What is the difference?? - I am calling my flower girls (technically!) Bridesmaids as I am only having a 4 year old and a nearly 6 year old!
