We've not completely decided yet, our first thought was dire straits romeo and juliet as that was the only song on my mp3 player that H2B liked when we met and we used to listen to it in the car, now we're thinking of Baby I love your way-Big mountain or The wonder of you-Elvis or a few others. It's a difficult decision, we're not a very mushy couple, well he's a not, so a proper slushy song is out.x

We had a choice between two elbow, one day like this and bread, I wanna make it with you, elbow is our song and we will probably get the d j to play it, but we are gonna have our dance to bread it's a lovely song not to long, I've loved it since I was sixteen and now it reminds me of h2b as the first time he heard he made me laugh he is really into his music and prides himself on understanding lyrics but in this case he totally mis understood the lyrics of the song :-)

we're having Florence and The Machine - "You've got the love"!! We love it because the words are so accurate, especially "sooner or later in life the things you love you lose", which for me is a reference to my Mum who passed away in February.
PLUS (on his side), it's the song that Chelsea play when the players walk out the tunnel!

Your love is King is one of my fave ones, but really want a song that is a bit different and aviation themed... Pain as that rules out most of the Top Gun stuff! Also love the Hollies Air that I breathe. I wanted Annie's Song jon denver, but a girl at work had that so don't want to be seen copying or share the same song... and then H2B and I thought, as we're both in the military a lot and have to do stints away but are closer to each other everytime we reunite, The theme tune to Home and Away! But it's a bit dull!

we are having All You Did Was Save My Life by a band called Our Lady Peace, but an acoustic version which our singer is putting together for us as we have struggled to find one! Very excited as it is our song but was too fast for it to be really suitable for a first dance. Then from that we're going straight in to Madness - Must Be Love. Another favourite song/band of ours with lots of good memories attached to it for both us and a lot of our friends :) So excited! x

after lots of hours researching etc,we have decided on Ellie Goulding your song to walk down the isle to,we are undecided if to walk back up to Florence and the machine youve got the love or paradise by coldplay, but which ever one we dont have for walking back up the isle, we we have it for signing the register along with greatest day by take that and Jason Maraz im yours, its been more difficult as we are having a harpist and not all songs sound good on the harp. Ours is Elvis - Wonder of You. Numerous reasons; hubby is an Elvis fan and used to sing his songs to me back in the day :-), its short (hubby doesnt 'do' dancing) and easy to slow dance to, its words are few but say it all, and we like that no one will probably expect it. They will expect E17 (hubs youth) or Backstreet Boys (my fav). Its very 'us' though.

Our first dance will be to 'No Matter What' by Papa Roach. Not too sure about what to have for our music throughout the day though, I know that Rachmaninoff's 'Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini' will feature somewhere though, it is from the film 'Somewhere in Time' and reminds me of my Nan and Grandad; we are getting married on what would have been my Grandad's birthday. I kinda want Ice Dance from Edward Scissorhands to feature somewhere too...not very conventional I know but it definitely won't be a conventional wedding :) x

Wow it's amazing to see the range of songs people are choosing! We've chosen nickelback - never gonna be alone as they're one of the few artists we both love and the first band we saw together live :) Lyrics mean a lot to me whereas h2b is all about the melody so I guess it suits us both that way too! We are also having a second first dance song where other couples will join us and thats frank siantra - the way you look tonight :) Who doesn't love Frank right??
