    not sure if true, but i heard that u can buy cake u want say it cost £500 but u can get fake one done alot cheaper looks real thing? any1 else know if true display cake?

    Yep u can use a fake cake and then buy a sheet cake that can be cut up behind the scenes. The guests would be none the wiser! x

    all the cakes u see in the shop windows are all fake ;o)

    all done with polystyrene tiers

    like mine ive got 5 double tiers 4 are fake and one is real

    you can even rent fake cakes !

    oh i never heard about those once are they any good??? :D
    my friend said she is getting a cake which is more like 5 or 6tiers but also only like 2 or 3parts are real cake and the rest in between sponge apparently makes it cheaper too :D

    If you are doing it yourself it can work out loads cheaper but most cake shops will still charge you a lot of money for a fake as it still costs them the same amount in icing and time to decorate as it would for a real cake.
