Is anyone else having one at their reception or been to a wedding where there was one? I love the look of them and was planning to have one tied to a beam above the dance floor so it can be popped towards the end of our first dance. They look so pretty and filled with confetti and smaller balloons, but I would like to know if they are really as good as they look. They sell DIY ones but baffled as to how you blow the small ones up and get them inside the big balloon?? I know I don't want to do it myself as I have a fear of them bursting when I hold them, lol, but quite happy to let someone else do it! Hope some of you girls can enlighten me! :D

I like it, just wondering how you are meant to burst it when it is quite high! Could always blue tak a pin to a long pole, lol.

I saw 1 at a wedding show last week n decided I wanted 1. The lady said they usually tell ppl to just pop it manually but they can do detonators but a) they r expensive & b) sometimes unreliable. xxx

That is great, I was going to buy a DIY one but wouldn't want to ruin it by bursting them all by mistake, lol. I think we will stick with popping it with a pin! xx

Aw fab twirler, that is where I saw it last night, lol. If it is simple enough then I will order mine too, though do balloons have an expiry date? I know that sounds daft but sometimes they go a bit tough after a while, lol.
You can get them without the confetti lainee, and just have them filled with smaller balloons, just as lovely! :)

Have popped a link on your page to a youtube video of one of them.

Not the best video though and think they used a detonator

Just something for you guys to think about before you get carried away with them..... Some venues don't allow anything to be attached to the ceilings so check with your venue to see if you can have them. If not you could always get a confetti canon or bubble machine etc.

Thanks ModMother, will check it out just now, and I have already checked XjoX and it is fine but even if it weren't you can get helium filled ones that you use a weight to hold down from the floor.
I am not fond of balloons that much either krisw86 but if I know it is about to pop I won't be so bad, think it would just be a nice touch to our dance and then all the kids can play with the little balloons! xx

They do look awesome, watched some videos of them at weddings and they really do look amazing and so pretty with all the little balloons everywhere. There are some really elaborate set ups with 4 or more exploding at the same time but not sure if that might be a tad too expensive. I would still be happy with one big one! xx

That is a good idea, can you get glitter confetti? Not sure if the venue will be happy to clear up glitter, can be a nightmare to get rid of, but will ask them when I go and talk with them properly. x

Wouldn't you end up looking like Tinkerbell gone wrong covered in glitter? I like the flutter fetti that you can get as it takes its time to flutter down from the ceiling and looks really pretty.

That is a great idea too, can you get that from card shops? Would love it to flutter slowly down over us, so romantic and pretty! :) Thanks for the advice! :)
