Awww I love hog roast. My sister had one for her evening buffet last year and I don't care, I think it's yummy, goes down a treat so I'm having it too ;)
The rest of the usual evening food is just sandwiches, mini quiches, sausage rolls, sausages, crisps, cheese and crackers etc. etc.
Evening food needs to be picky and nibbley type stuff I guess so I struggle to think of anything different. Sorry I'm not being very creative this afternoon xx

One venue we looked at offered faijitas for the evening which I'd love to have We are having a boring old hog roast though lol
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

thanks for all ur ideas guys but the winner is........cheeseboard and pate lol.
@Elle23 thats a great idea. We're also having having faggots (ewwww) as my uncle is allergic to cheese and doesnt like pate. but tbh h2b loves faggots anyway so he's having them aswel and ud be supprised how many people like that like them (personaly i cant stand them urgh). but its not just my wedding lol.
whats more great about is is as we can do it ourselves it works out sooo much cheaper. obviously we know prices will change on food in the supermarket but we've done an aprox estimate of how much its going to cost to do and it work out about £30 aprox for 140people which isnt bad for my liking. Which also means we can afford the sweet buffet we wanted in the first place.
woohoo lol x

We thought about hog roast but were quoted £1260 for it! Thats over my whole after party budget. Now going to do our own BBQ, getting our friends to run it and getting the meats from my old catering contacts when I worked in the pubs.

We had bacon, egg and sausage baps they went down a treat x
depending on how many guests you're having you could have the hog roast but still be a little different by serving them in baps with gravy in the evening! we were told one beast will make about 200 rolls!
