    Hi all,

We we are getting married on 26th August 2016 (we have left planning late!!) at a lovely hotel local to us. The only time the registrar could do the ceremony is at 12:00pm on that day.

We are having a small wedding with around 30 guests, thus do not want a disco for our reception. We will be having a sit down, three course meal, including speeches and a toast, and do not think the people coming would like to have a buffet.

We obviously want the wedding to go on into the evening, so was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what we could do to make the day fun/longer for everyone?

    All advice appreciated :)

How about a band rather than a DJ? Then people can have a boogie if they want, but you won't have the "disco" feel.

Were having a similar day with only 30/35 guests, only we're getting married at 3pm. We're having live entertainers (acoustic guitar and singer) during our ceremony and the drinks reception after. We're then having a 3 course sit down meal in the evening (around 6pm) then were going to have music over the sound system and play big group board games (such as articulate) with those who are staying.

Could you all go out and see a show? Youd get a group discount with 30 of you.
Or maybe hire a comedian instead?
