OMG just epiltated legs and armpits and it was absolute agony!!! I had hives for about 20 mins after....... I've done it loads of times before, but tonight was particularly painful. Next time will take Ibuprofen and Piriton an hour before! If it wasnt for the money aspect I would get waxed everytime x

Hehe Just got my epilator out! I think it's ace! My sister has one with an ice pack in it to numb the skin, she says it's god. I've got a waterprof one and it's tonnes better in the bath, or after a glass of wine!

wow! OUCH! i once (about a month ago) Veeted by bestfriend's armpits. ha ha ha ha ha haha honestly it was side splitingly hilarious. i was wincing as much as she was, both of us were screaming! i was apologising and after 20 mins, she still needed to shave, but couldnt cause her skin was red and raw and bleeding and she had to go to USA to see her boyfriend who she hasnt seen since xmas, with one shaved armpit and one stubbly, hairy bloody one!
    it was hilarious!
so i so feel your pain hun

Tiggs, with you being diabetic you may not be allowed to wax either hun, sorry. I know a lot of waxes arent suitable for diabetics, as its sugar. xx

I shave apart from the bikini line - Brazilian all the way there (when I get round to it!)

I think with diabetics it's to do with healing of the skin, so they are more likely to get infections from the waxing. Also a risk of loss of sensation so risk of burning with ot wax etc. I think some salons are cautious about it, but some will do it. Depends on the type of diabetes, whether under control etc.

    xx

i've used an epilator for years now and think it's great on the legs, but I've NEVER been able to do my underarms or bikini line - just too painful! What us women have to go through, eh...?

I recently got an epilator thinking it wld help save money in the long run as far as my legs go but it doesnt matter how may times you use it you always forget how painful it is!! I'll stick with the bikini wax cant even contemplate using epilator for that, ouch!! Men dont realise how lucky they are not having to go thru with all the hair removal! x

It is a bit weird at first, although for a normal bikini line they actually don't see that much. No secrets if having a Brazilian though! It felt strange for about 10 seconds but then they are so used to it and it hardly takes any time that it's fine.
