My hoop came this morning, and it makes my dress look so much better, however, you can sort of see the hoop through the dress , which I really don't like! How can I help this - do I just need to buy another underskirt to go between the dress and the hoop? Bear in mind I am really strapped for cash! Please help!

I kept treading on my underskirt and it got lower and lower throughout the day, not sure what you could do about being able to see it, but I definitely wouldn't wear 2!

Try to get a petticoat to wear in betwee them, then that should soften the edges.
I have a petticoat with the hoop in it, the hoops are on the inside so there are layers of petticoat between where the hoops are and the dress.
Could you even try to make your own if you strapped for cash. Nobody will see it, you just to sew loads of material into a waist band

Jupon are the leading petticoat maker in the UK but they are exspensive. I bought mine second hand of the bay, it was £35 and made such a difference to my dress. The amount of hoops and layers depends on how much you want your dress to sit out.

They have some good ones on the bay. When i needed one for the first dress i looked at it cost me £20 so just keep hunting. Also see if there are any reviews to say if they are light and easy to wear. If your dress is heavy you dont want a hoop that is gonna make your hips hurt all day.

    Good luck xxx
