I was sitting here wondering, when you bustle the dress in the evening do you do it so the back is the same length as the front or do you leave the back a little longer? x

when you get fitted for your dress they should do it for you and show you, and the person helping to dress you, how to do it. The shop where I'm getting my dress from is doing that for me....ask the shop where you're getting your dress from.

It's when you clip up the train of the dress, so in the evening when you're dancing the night away you don't have people ristricting your moves by treading on your dress. It also gives another dimention to the dress.

When I have mine done I'm going to get them to do it so that it is the same as the dress (which will be just off the floor. I don't want it dragging around all night on the floor as it will get dirty and also more chance of it snagging on the floor. I guess you can have them at whatever lenght you want. Just make sure that if there is any detail at the back of your train that when you hang it up it doesn't hide any of it.

I love these forums. I'd been wondering how to do that with mine, as it doesn't have one currently, and my mum will be doing the alterations to it as all it needs is shortening slightly.

Mine will be getting hook or button or whatever fitted by the shop but when i tried it on she lifted roughy into positioon to show me how it looks and it looked really nice, still slightly longer at the back but nowhere near as much to trip over lol!!! But yea i think u could adjust it to any length u want it really.

The shop did mine for me and it is longer than the front but not too much. Like everyone said above, you don't want guests standing on it and ripping it. You'll get upset and they will feel really bad! x

My dress has a removable train well it's kind of an over skirt type thing so for most the day ill have it on then take it off for the evening! It looks like a completely different dress but without loosing any of the magic and sparkle the train has!

i wasnt sure about this as mine has a loop near end of train which i thought was to go over my wrist which i wasnt happy about until the nice lady in the shop explained that you can tie it up at back lol and i didnt realise it was called a bustle i always imagine one of them old fashioned victorian dresses with the big bums when i see/hear the word bustle lol am glad it not that bad tho lol
