Ladies has any ever or planning to apply for the new series. I just had a look and it just says to email them but what on earth would you write just how much you love your other half orrr.....

I applied a couple of years ago. All I did was say I was interested. Then they sent me an application form to fill in. Then I think its interviews and screen test etc.

I applied last year and we got quite far into the casting process - but didn't make the final cut.

Just send an e-mail and there will be an automated message reply with an application form. This obviously you have to fill in and pics are also required. If they are interested they'll ring your h2b.

Are you serious?! I never even thought of the repeated takes, that's nuts, would hate that. Do love the show though, but it just makes you think it must be set up - one minute she's there going Oh wow I love church weddings, cut to bloke saying Screw the church, let's have it in an old dingey pub, that'll work...!

They make such a big deal out of showing them signing the contract that they won't discuss the wedding, but you'd just wonder...I must be very cynical!

i reckon alot of it is fake but i still enjoy watching it and on repeat!lol x

The show has certainly deviated from the 1st series - in my opinion anyway.

H2b knew a bridesmaid from the first series and she said from her point of view it seemed really good although the whole budgetting part of the show was quite a focal point. Her show the groom ran out of money and they had to buy their own dresses etc which she found out last minute.

I really enjoyed the old format of you seeing the groom go through the process of making sure he had all the correct necessities - rings, flowers, dress, shoes etc and having to figure out what to sacrifice etc to get what he wanted.

Recently I have felt its all a big facade - there is no way a budget is stuck to, far too much dramas and interference from every Tom, D and Harry! Also a tiny bugbear from the last series was that many of the couples seemed to be quite young and new couples and yes they were fun etc but I think the contestants picking has got a bit "streamlined".

I definitely watch it for different reasons now and when it first started h2b was very up for it but now i just know it would be edited in a way that would be awful for all the family and ourselves.

im afraid they tend to want the wackier the better so if .ou have anything a little bit different or opposing views (i.e. something that makes good tv) make sure you note that down. Talk about how different your views are but obviously make this up!

This is how it was for us:

H2b actually suggested to apply. So we did. I decided to fill in the application form from both point of views - so to each question we each gave an answer. We kept it wordy but not too long so they don't get bored reading. I think we kept it funny and light and fluffy and I hoped we make them laugh. I attached a few pics of us together and of us separately and one of our boy - again I chose pretty pics but also funny pics to make them laugh.

I sent it off and within an hour a producer rang h2b telling him they are interested and want to talk to him. They told him he can tell me that they rang but no details. H2b stuck painstakingly to this command :D. I think the next day again someone rang h2b and chatted for about an hour or so with him. He told him he has to come up with a detailed plan of how he imagines the day within the next few hours. Again he was not allowed to tell me this. H2b then got a few hours to write everything down (he had to really think up every little detail - theme, colours, what kind of dress, cars etc etc. etc) and he then talked to the producer for over two hours - though h2b is a chatterbox I might add.
The next day someone rung me to tell me they will ring me for a longer chat in the afternoon. But I got told it won't be such a detailed long call like with h2b they just want to get to know me a bit better. It was always the same producer we talked too by the way. He rang me then again the next day I think and took me by surprise and asked me aswell how I have planned everything in detail - and I think I was far to little bridezilla because he caught me by surprise. I did have lots of details to tell but I babble silly when I get nervous and I forgot so much to tell him, I had nothing written down.

At the end of both our long talks the producer told h2b and me that he really likes us and would like to put us forward and he wishes us all the best. They decision makers will have a big meeting the following friday and will have layed out copies of the interviews and photos etc and then make the final decision - if they ring again we're on the show and if we don't hear from them within 3 weeks we're not.

Well we never heard again and at first I felt a weird stab of pain of rejection but in hindsight I am very happy that they didn't take us.

I've never applied for the show, but I think in the application you have to sort of tell them what they want to hear. I suppose Id try and show them how we are different from other couples. I agree that the show has changed and I do think they prefer a bit of drama now. X

My friend Tony and Pippa appeared on season 2, they said there were so many stages you had to go through before you are actually accepted that even though they were it was so much hassle.x
