Because that is what they are looking for - they are casting opposites. We applied and had gotten further into the casting but didn't make the final cut. I am sure it was because we had too similar ideas and h2b was too competent (budgeting and organising is part of his job).

Theres a two week break then more episodes Last night's bride was definitely bridezilla material - she was so stressed out and the bridesmaid was so miserable about the dresses - i thought the one they picked was beautiful!

i liked all the bm dresses tbh! loved the ones with sequins at top they looked young n fun yet classy, i think considerin the cars they both drove n the fact he plays for england maybe they didnt need to 12grand as much as some of the ladies on here. . . she was walkin around in genuine uggs for gods sakes! xx think they tried to poor themselves down tbh,more cnt be bothered to save than cant afford to. xxx

I thought that the bride was very stressed out and ungrateful... Considering how much she harped on about how she almost died etc, she didn't seem happy just to be alive and marrying the man she loves as most people would be, she was demanding everything like she was entitled to it for almost dying. And she said 'if he doesn't do x or y, I won't marry him!' too many times for my liking. It's so childish to say you won't marry because you don't have an invitation... "no Invite, no bride" bah all i could think was 'You need to grow up.'
Both her and her sister seemed really demanding and petty over the little things, and forgot that for a twist of fate she wouldn't even be there to get married.... It was like they completely forgot what marriage is about and it was all about dresses, invites and cars.

We had gotten so far in the casting and at first it hurt a bit when we didn't make the final cut. We always suspected that we probably had too similar ideas - h2b never wanted to tell me what dress he would have picked. Tonight he told me - he would have gone to London to get a polka dotted shorter 50s dress with a big petticoat. Now look into my album at my sketch of my dress. They ask this in the casting and you have to give exact details - both of us had to. Well no wonder they didn't take us in the end :-)))

I am not sure. We decided to stick to honesty and take this serious because we suspected you have to sign a contract (including the ideas). I think I said in another thread that we were very lucky up until a certain point - after we had sent off the application they rang h2b only a few hours later and told him he'll be interviewed in a matter of hours and until then he has to come up with the whole day and quite exact planning (all this pondering and surprise decisions is just edited like that) - though I am sure they do leave you some leeway (spelling?) but he was not allowed to tell me a thing and he took it quite seriously. Later on he was on the phone wth a producer for 2 hours and he rang me the next day to tell me someone will ring me again and talk to me but only to get to know me not like to the groom. But then they did ask my exact imaginations aswell and I think my phone talk lasted an hour. H2b talked another 1-2 times to them over the next few days and then they told us it's going to be brought to the final meeting and big boss producer will pick who will be featured in the series and they told us to be prepared in the next month. They said if we don't hear from them after two weeks it's a no. And we never heard again...
But honestly - I am glad it didn't work out. And it would have been all so rushed. The anticipation is part of the great thing of getting married. And I am really, really enjoying making all the things. It's not so much the control but I really like putting myself into it.

We looked at having the venue they had this week. They got it cheaper than what I was quoted! Its a lovely place tho, they have a brewery and you can have personalised beer bottles made with your choice of beer to give as favours. Thought that was a fab idea!

I thought this weeks episode was alright... I really liked the groom, but I really wondered why he wanted to marry such a whiney woman! He sister was the ultimate pain, I laughed when she didn't get her own way with the dresses, and laughed again when she had to pay for her own hair!
As for organising her own eyebrows and nails.... three days before the wedding????? Give the fella a chance! Who honestly gets their nails done three days before? My future SIL was watching with me and both of us said the same thing... "what's her rush"

I agree with Atraxia. She shouldnt be saying childish things about not marrying him. At the end of the day, the wedding is being paid for and it was their choice to let the groom loose. She shouldnt have done it if she felt she couldnt trust him. She should accept what she was given.
It was an eye opener the last episode. My work collegue was on there and his behaviour was shocking haha! Very interesting to see him in that light. I said 'tut tut tut' the other day and just got a cheeky smile back. I couldnt have done that!

I loved the dress he chose for her. I don't normally like strapless gowns, but it really suited her body. She looked amazing. I especially loved the back of the dress. Does anyone know who designed it?
What was wrong with the one-shoulder bm dresses?? They were really nice, although a bit expensive at over £100 each. I would like them in Cadbury's purple for my wedding! I thought the first dresses were ok, but the shiny fabric might have been unflattering, and the colour might not have came out properly in the photos. I didn't like the blue sparkly dresses though. They made the girls' b00bs look weird. xxx

I sky plused this and watched it a few days ago but what i dont understand is that all these brides know that they have no control over what the groom plans etc so why do they get so upset about it??? I mean at the end of the day they are marrying the man they love and want to spend the rest of their lives with.
