I have seen whilst browsing online wedding ring cushions, some of which have really caught my eye. I don't remember my friends having one at their wedding last year though and wonder if it's just another expense that isn't neccessary? any thoughts guys?

Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)

i don't think you NEED one, the best man could have them in a ring box in his pocket and then just hand them over at the right time. But if you really like the idea and you have the cash why not?
Personally I would be terrified of the ring sliding off the satin cushion and rolling around the floor, have images of me in my dress on my hands and knees in church looking for it!!

I'm having one as ring bearer is a role that I have given to my son, although in saying this they will be plastic rings he is carrying down the isle, plus as it will be personalised it's something to keep for our memory box - personal choice x

Hmmm....I don't think we'll bother then. Both me and OH are keen to keep costs down, plus I too hate the thought if the rings rolling down the aisle on their own!

The rings are tied on the the cushion. Like most things weddinging, it's a personal choice, if keeping costs down then I wouldn't botherx

I agree....Im not having one either as I would be worried the rings may roll away. If my son was older I would let him carry one but he will only be 3 at the time of our wedding x

we have one but not sure if going to use it. Best man thinks it will be easier to get them out of his pocket rather than mess with a ring but there you go.

We're having one but im trying to think of a way to diy it with out it looking tacky only reason we're having one is because our son will only be 3 when we get married and we want him as ring bearer so need to tie the rings to something instead of having him swallow them lol

yeah the actual pouches look very easy to make. Just wish I could figure out how to get the embroidery looking as good as that sellers, cause I notice she has sold 98 of them, and she is now selling them for £8.50! serious money to be made there.....

hmmmm... i wonder if my son although not walking down the ailse with me as he is h2b usher and helping seat people as he will be 10 would like the honour of looking after the rings on a ring cushion and he can hold this and look after it and give it ovewr at the right time

Same here, my son will be 7 and I have no qualms about him holing the cushion till the right time. Although they will be fake and the BM will discreetly pocket them and hand over the real ones, just wanted to involve my son in the ceromony.

We arent having one, to be honest its just another thing to remember! And someone will have to take it from the registry office to the reception venue, might get left behind by accident! Rings will be in Best Mans pocket.... HOPEFULLY!!!!

We have one, from disneyland Paris :) Its Where h2b took me for birthday/engagement present last year. On my birthday he proposed then gave me a box with a disney balloon and info of our mini break to there. I said we don't have to use it if we don't want to as its a sweet heart shaped cushion we could put on display, but I would like to as it has significance to the engagement.
