Ive got pics of the dress i want (and i WILL have it lol) and the shoes i quite like, unusual for me- must be having a magpie moment! Do you think the shoes are too sparkly for the dress? As the dress has quite ornate (not sure if thats the right word) lace. I will be having a pale gold sash rather than the slightly darker one in the picture. Im also waiting to hear back about the heel/platform height of the shoes as it didnt say on the website, so they may end up being too high anyway, lol. But thought i'd see what you girls think.

Aww they'll go perfectly - they're both absolutely gorgeous! I love the dress - it's similar to dresses I've been looking at - and the shoes are great. If they're not too high go for it. I'd love to be able to wear shoes like that! x

Oh god that dress is so georgeous. And yes them shoes will def go. BUt they do look like they will pretty high. I would love a dress of that style but I dont have the figure for it :( But I will def be gettin one that is lacy.

they will go well together as the other ladies have said but they are high they look like the height of the ones iv got but remember theres a wedge at the front also which takes an inch off th heel height really im gonna get some shoes to change into as i can walk fine in mine but will prob want some flatter shoes for dancing in later on!

thats why ive asked for the heel height and platform height, i know what overall height i can manage with so once they tell me the two measurements i can see if they will be too high. hopefully they'll be ok, but if not i know what style to look for elsewhere in a slightly lower heel lol. thanks for all the opinions girls, much appreciated!

have finally had an email back about the heels, heel is 4.5 inches and platform is just under an inch, changing that to measurements i can understand properly thats approx 11.5cm heel and 2.5cm platform, making the overall height about 9cm. My favourite boots are 8cm tall and i can walk in them all day up hills on gravel etc so think i may be able to manage these at only 1cm higher.
