Thanks having discussion with h2b we are not sure weather to do all trees with love hearts for the uniform of the venue decor or different sweets any ideas which would be better, he s saying we might end up with a load of love hearts :-)
CommentAuthorbrilly
yeah your could be left with a few but how about personalized loveheart favour trees?? the wrappers arnt too hard to do hun its on my other post how to do them, if your having a sweet buffet then all love heart trees shouldnt be a problem but if your not having a sweet buffet then mixed trees are a great alternative hun x

I dont recon they'd last that long, but they coud be wrapped in plastic I suppose. I'm going to practice, then make everything else and pop them on nearer the time you want them x
CommentAuthorbrilly
Claire thats cool hun the easiest way to make that one is to stick them on with cooking chocolate hun im in the middle of doing a large mini egg one at the moment :) x
Mrsb2b if you cello wrap them hun I would say the longest to keep the ones made with choc or icing is 2 weeks prior to use but lolly ones they can be kept until the lollies expiry date as your not using anything to add them on with x

Nicola I buy it by a 1kg bag hun different pots are different sizes so you just have to work with it hun but the instructions are generally on the bag for making it up x

Yeah theyre pink hearts - found it hard with them as they dont fit together without gaps and my idea of pink nail varnish on the balls to cover the white spaces actually melted the ball haha x

I love these. I've made up 2 with wrapped sweets. I'm dying to make up more with jelly/ marshmallow sweets but not sure how long before I should make them. Marshmallow will dry up and go hard wont it? How long will jelly sweets last? I thought of wrapping in clingfilm but not sure this would really be airtight?
CommentAuthorbrilly
if you cello wrap yourt marshmellow trees they will stay fresh hun but if your using royal icing or chocolate the longest I would leave it is a week same goes for the jellys as the moisture out of the royal icing will make them go sticky xx

Advice ladies, would a 5.5cm in height metal bucket be too small for a sweet tree? Do you think it would take a tumble?
