I know quite a few of us on this site are trying to lose weight for our big days and thought it would be nice to have a list of foods that we eat that help us with our weight loss as I'm running out of ideas! I've been on this diet now for 3 months and it would be nice to hear some new ideas to keep me motivated! At the moment my biggest winners are:

    Dr Stuarts Slimming Tea
Special K bars (less than 90 calories each and good for a sugar hit!)
My Special Salad - a bowl of mixed salad leaves and cucumber with a dressing of low fat Thousand Island Dressing and then a great splodge of Sweet Chilli Sauce - sounds dire but is actually amazing!

Anyone else got any products/recipes they like which help with their weight loss?

I like Rice cakes, simple and filling only 67calories per cake and they cost like 66p for a packet (plain rice cakes not snack-a-jack kind)

weightwatchers yoghurts, they do ones called strawberry cheesecake, lemon cheesecake, toffee apple and raspberry tart in a pack of 4 - very yummy with big lumps of nice stuff in and only about 50 calories a pot, my evening treat!

I found a nice alchole drink which is low in calories

Sugar free lime squash and vodka!!!!
It tastes the same as if you did it with lemonade (flat of course) but you get drunk and dont have a hangover as the water keeps you highdrated!!! xx

for meals, i suggest a jar of salsa, tesco or dorito, mix in a pan with a chopped chicken breast, add a little no or low fat cream fraich or even better weight watchers double cream, once it comes to the boil. simmer for a couple of mins. then put in a wrap and enjoy with basmati rice. mmm lovely.

or try this soup from channel 4@s my big fat diet show. i have and its gorgeous..you can use chicken instead of prawns, and leave out a few things if your fussy. it looks more complicated than it is.

I'm not all that fussed the way I see it is... If I tell myself that I absolutely cannot eat sweet things at all, I want sweet stuff even more, but if I just say i'm cutting down I tend not to even think about chocolate ect and then I don't eat any at all.. :)
But I've lost 6lb this last week and that's with me eating normally and still not being able to walk :) x

I love carrot sticks as a snack :) But it's hard trying to eat healthy while I live at home, because my mum is so busy being my dads carer and helping kev care for me, plus being a full time mum and guarian for my nephew, plus home tutor for my brother, that by the end of the day she's often too tired to cook, so take aways are a much too regular occurance in this house! So I just either get kev to make me something, or i'll make a sandwich.. sometimes i'll indulge, but then i'll not allow myself certain other foods for the rest of that week. xx

ScanBran - you can get it in Holland & Barratt and the Slimming World people recommend it, used to eat it when I was with them years ago. Bit hard to eat on its own but great with a bit of low fat Philadelphia cheese spread or a bit of low fat cheddar melted in the microwave. Its really good for the bowels too apparently.
