decided on the honeymoon we like, a mediterrean cruise around spain and italy, 14 days in a deluxe cabin, with a honeymoon package as well. Fingers crossed going to book it on friday as only have to put down £300 deposit and we wont have to pay the balance until the week after we get married, we are getting money as presents to put towards the cruise so wont have the money till then, it means that we cannot go until about 6 weeks after the wedding but it will mean that we have something to look forward to. fingers crossed there are places left when we go on Friday to book it x

If your booking it now babe just make sure you save as well. You never know how much your gonna get as presents, so you dont want to be stuck paying half the balance with no money in the bank. That way if you get enough from the wedding the money you save can be spending money. :-)

we are going oct 2011. its all inclusive so wont have to pay for much on the actual boat, but will obviously have to pay when we are in the various cities. we should be able to save enough to pay off the balance as we are setting aside so much each month as we are not expecting too much from our guests. its going to be lovely though, its a dream we have always wanted to do. x

that sounds good, i looked at p & o and for what we wanted it seemed a bit more expensive but will look into it more when we get to the travel agents to see what is the best deal, we know what the price is with thomsons so know that that is the maximum we need to pay but will weigh up all the options once its explained to us, there is a £500 pound reduction if we book online, but we think maybe the travel agents will be able to match it if not better it, when and where are you going on yours steph x

We are going Sept 2011... West Med... (I hate flying)
I found that for the some of the cruise liners then best deals are done with the indepentant Travel agents but for the UK based major ones then the main high street Travel agents gets the best deal with the cruise liners...
We shopped about a load but have to go with P&O as its the only one we can get legally married on....
We booked and got a really good deal including the discount you would get for booking on line and early bird....
Crusies seem to be the new up and coming holiday for young couples.... its no longer a old person thing to do....

you will be going just before us then, we wanted september but the balance would have to be paid before we got married, dove i will take it with me as i am dreadful with figures and will forget what it was, but i intend to get the best deal, i prefer to book through the travel agents but at the end of the day if they cannot beat the online price we will do it online, as at the end of the day its still with thomson so should be just as efficient as in the shop. i looked at ones that went from southampton but again they seemed a bit more expensive but will definitely stay there for hours until we sort out the best deal, yes it think everyone wants to go on cruises now, they seem so popular x

yes it includes alot of the cities we would love to visit other than venice we couldnt include that one in the same cruise as we really wanted rome too, so had to compromise and went for rome x

Ahhhh, i love cruises, i have tempted my H2B to go on one for our honeymoon but then also have a few days b4 and after to rest and relax and get him used to the caribbean sun, lol, he is very pale and burns easily.
Arghhhhhhhh getting so excited just talking about it and cant wait to get my wardrobe sorted, i want to take my wedding dress ith me for one of the formal nights and have pics taken on the cruise - does anyone think that is strange ???

i am so looking forward to it, it will be the holiday of a lifetime, we love the idea of the formal nights, everyone dressed up, the peace and quiet on the balcony first thing in the morning and last thing at night. its going to be fantastic, i think the wedding dress idea is fab, but we are worrying about how we will get all our dresses and suits into our case without going over the baggage allowance x

we got a good deal with P and o as we got on board credits too, we thought the price was amazing compared to what we had been quoted by thompson for 14 nights in the med, compared to 14 nights in the caribbean, it actually worked out cheaper to do the caribbean one, and the ship azura looks fantastic, not sure if we will fit in though, its so posh, we got an upgraded cabin to, so now got an outside one with a balcony. its just a dream come true, just got to find the pennies to pay for it now though x

we looked at all the cruises from all compaines an thompsons worked out well the best as were going in july the carribean is off scedule as it is hurricane season and thompsons do the all inclusive where no wer else does

no thmopson is good if you ant july, we are going october but we couldnt go before then because of paying for it, but what we saved by going on p and o and the on boar credit made it cheaper for us to go to the caribbean ,but we would have been extremely happy with the med cruise if it hadnt worked out cheaper for us x
