just looked at the proposed order of service provided by our vicar when we booked the church, it reads processional (bride's entrance music), hymn, reading (if two reading both go here, secular first), the address, the marriage, hymn, blessing of the marriage, signing of registers, prayers, hymn, blessing, recessional (exit music). hope this helps.x x

Two hymns for us and one reading although we could have up to 3 hymns in the church and 2 readings which would add another 15 minutes onto the service but we are happy with what we have chosen together. x

only 2 or 3 that's such a shame there are so many lovely hymns to choose from I am so looking forwards to working that bit out with my minister!!! what sort of hymns are people having traditional or something more up to date :)

No Nicola you don't have to have a reading but I think if you do at least one has to be religious. :)

Do we have to have hymns for a church ceremony? H2b isn't really religious but is happy with the church because it's what I want but he has a thing against hymn! x
