Erm, clip their nails down so that if they scratch it wont take the scabs off when they start to scab...And Just keep reapplying calomine lotion hun, that's all I can think x

You can get a calomine cream aswell they might find that helps more than the lotion as it's thicker x

give them a cool bath aswell, that will help with the itching, as well as calomine lotion, you can get it from boots for a few quid xxx

put em in a bath with bicarbonate soda, it helps ease the scratching, but sadly the camomile lotion also relieves the itches too

use piriton or similar products, this will easy the ergde to scratch and give them time to forget about them being itchy, its easy to keeo them covered up but if they get to sweaty they will itch even more, also if you put bicarob in their bath it will dry them up nicely in days. hope this helps. good luck x

Hi girls. Thanks a mill for the advice will give the bath a try with bicarbonate soda.
The youngest isn't too bad but the eldest is covered in them and scratching himself to bits although he says he has red paint on him not the chicken pox.

Cut the foot part off a pair of tights and fill it with oatmeal. Tie it in a knot it put it in the bath and run a fairly lukewarm bath. The oatmeal will make the water cloudy. It helps with skin irritations like ezema so presumably it will help take the stingy itch out of chicken pox too xx

its too warm now but if it was winter I'd say pop some gloves on them when they're in bed to stop them scratching in their sleep

Put the calomine lotion in the fridge, and in Boots you can pick up some stuff called 'Poxclin'
I've been lucky enough so far that neither of mine have had them, but my friend used it on her kids and said it was great! x
