Hi all, apologies for the lack of communication lately, been a busy few months with my cousins wedding 2 weeks away.
Anyway, i was just wondering if anyone knew a breakdown of prices for a catholic church wedding? We get married in October 2015 and want to get the fees incorporated into the budget.

    Thanks.

as every church is different you are really best off asking the church you are wanting to be wed in xx

The catholic church only ask for a donation. But you have to pay extra for the registrar and flowers (if you want them).
Our priest gave us a suggested donation, so just ask your priest

We are getting married in a Catholic Church too - I am finding it really complicated and haven't even started yet.

I have pencilled in the date that we want so that we could book everything else. But the church won't do anything else until we have done the one day marriage course which isn't until August. I was first told by them that I needed my partners christening certificate but has to be less than 6 months old, so I got it in March so by the time the priest will speak with us again it'll be nearly out of date so I hope they accept it.
I have to get permission from the church that is in my borough to get married in this other church. But that priest isn't returning calls, emails and the time that I went there he wasn't there and the cover priest wouldn't help.

So when I finally get to that point in August and do that course, speak the priest again, have individual interviews they then have to write to the bishop to get permission, which may take longer as he is c.o.e. They said the process takes 6 months, but we are getting married in May so cutting it a bit fine.

    Just really feel in limbo.

Our priest gave us a suggested donation but we also had to pay separately for the flowers and organist. The registrar provided her services for free as she was also a parishioner but we gave her a small amount for her time.

You're best asking your priest for costs.

Contact the church or look on their website if they have one . I am currently trying to sort a church out we are at the stage of meeting priest . Our church has slightly cheaper costs if you are within parish area rather than outside so check if that's the case for you .
Not sure if ours is more expensive as it's a cathedral not a church .

For use of cathedral non parish area person is £250 however in area £100 , minister fee is £100 then flowers and music we need quotes for the people organising it
