I want to get married at a weekend because people dont have to book time of work and no hassle of school for keeping children off and what not but does anyone know, are sundays available to get married on?? If yes would it be cheaper to get married on a saturday or sunday?? xx

You can get married on a Sunday. Think the time restrictions are different though. And if its a church you have to work around normal services.

We are getting married on a Sunday - but its a civil ceremony rather than a church. In terms of price, the venue was cheaper than a saturday, but the registrar has worked out more. I wasn't sure whether things like the photographer or flowers would be more as its a sunday, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I really like the idea of a Sunday, as you say people don't have to have the day off work and I figured all the girls have got the saturday to get pampered too!!!

you got to think also that some people may not stay long if they have to get up for work on monday morning i would suggest that if they are your nearest and dearest and you give them plenty of notice a friday would be ok for people to book off a day

We're getting married on a Sunday in a church with the registrar at normal rate. We have saved thousands of pounds by choosing a Sunday. Everybody has over a years notice to book the next day off! It suits us and it also means that guests staying at the hotel get a cheaper rate too :0)
