I had my make up rehersal last week, and to be honest i didnt like it :( im kind of fussy about my make up lol so I have decided to just do it myself on the day, however I really would like a flawless smooth foundation that will last all day? i usually use max factor-lasting performance but lately I dont think the coverage is great, can anyone point me in the direction of a fab one? :) xx

Is that because it's an old tub or that you've bought new ones and they don't appear to work as well? You can buy primers (make sure you get the right type for your skin - cream or oil based) and put a generous layer of that on first that'll help to keep your make-up in place. Then I recommend using liquid foundations because you can blend them really well there are lots of different types in the market. Max Factor is usually a good brand though & if you have a bit more money the Bobbi Brown collections are fab! Always finish your look by dusting loose powder on your face to set it. Hope this helps a bit xx

i love my clinique foundation. expensive at first but soooo worth it. My mum bought me all my new make up for my birthday and it wasnt as bad as i thought. (about 80 for foundation blusher eyeliner, a wash clarify and moituriser , concealer, with lots of freebies like make up remover, mascara, eye cream)They often give you freebies and if you go to them they often show you what its like before you buy ( do your make up for you) if you love it you can either buy it or alot of the make up artists do weddings too. Im thinkg of going back to the clinique counter in house of fraser. They'll make sure you get the right shade too. You can always tell you'll get the best just by looking at the girls and how they do there own makeup.

yep clinique! for a cheaper option try Loreal Matt Morphose. i wore it out last weekend and had people commenting on how flawless my skin looked! Even one girl I didnt even know!

just make sure you remove all oil from your skin before you put it on, and set it with power afterwards too to make it stay all day.

i steal my H2B's Clinique scruffing lotion to de-grease my skin before i start with the make-up!

OR splash out on Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. And smooth it on in a thin layer, dont rub it in. Its FAB!

ar wow thanks girls, I have tried clinique before was a while ago but i might give it another go, I did think about going to debenhams and having a word about wedding make up, i normally have my eyes quite smoky looking on an every day basis lol, so i really struggle with the natural look, has anyone ever used elizabeth arden foundation?xx

If you don't want something heavy then I would suggest Olay's Touch of Foundation. It's the moisteriser that is tinted with Max Factor foundation. It has done wonders for my skin and feels so light and airy. xxx

Clinique is brilliant especially if u have combination skin like me!! Elizabeth Arden is my second to clinique - really good and makes my skin glow - but clings to drier skin after a few hours!! I'm thinking about doing my own too!

dont wear full on foundation on your wedding day!!!!,i had a benefit makeup consultant do my makeup for the wedding and it looked flawless,,use a a primer (benefit make is called that gal) then use their fake foundation called some kind of gorgeous, alot of make up artists will say yes use this and that and that and that, but you end up caked in make up and it looks awfull,if you can pop to your local benefit counter and ask then to do a bridal trial for you, like i said i used them for mine and trust them

i have the benefit some kind of gorgeous foundation and to be honest it is the worst benefit product i have ever bought! i love most benefit make up but that was orange and so oily. I think the benefit play sticks are much better - foundation and concealer all in one x

yeah I am not a fan of benefit foundation either. I love their fake it kits, jiffy tan and mascara but i found their liquid foundation didnt go on very well and their powder made my skin really dry!

I have a vie consultant doing my wedding make up, she used the one step face base which is actually a powder that gives great coverage on top of a primer. she advised me not to have a liquid foundation because if its warm it will end up sliding and making you look a little sweaty.

You should try having a make over at the Bare Minerals counter in Debenhams. I went today and the make up is so light on the skin and has lasted all day! It looks amazing too and the foundation wont slide off if you get hot. I am an international cabin crew member and many crew wear this on flights as its comfy and long lasting. Good luck x
