Was gonna suggest them Rach - it's even 3 for 2 at the mo!
The big supermarkets also do plain white tiered cakes for very reasonable prices - certainly under £100. x

You can just get a plain cake and decorate it with flowers or something. Or is there anyone u know who is good at making cakes? Or could u make 70 cupcakes and decorate them?

Have a look at the M&S cake - the traditional. They are delicious and you can have sponge or fruit or both. Decorate them yourself with ribbon or flowers. We are having these at our wedding and I have only heard good things about them. There might even be a discount code somewhere.

m&s do a cutting cake so that there is enough for people to eat - some people have fake tiers, which are just iced boxes or display cakes and then use a cutting cake xxx

Mines coming to £60 for a 3 tier chocolate sponge cake, but my friends mum is making it so Im lucky. Other then that, I was going to be charged £60 for a 2 tier sponge cake at a local cake makers. Lol. If you dont mention wedding, it usually puts the price down. If that helps at all...

You could always give it a go yourself? My Nan made my mums - even though she'd never made a cake before. You have plenty of time to practise :)

I'm making my own fake cake that I can decorate early to save any stress and then serving up sheet cakes which works out about £10 each if I had to buy them but a friend of mine is doing that for me. As it is the h2b's birthday she is also doing him a birthday cake to double up as a grooms cake so we will have both fruit and sponge cake to serve up.

My MiL made our cake - she had it professionally iced and then my florist decorated it - it looked fantastic. Got my stand off bay of e - have listed it on there to sell!
We also made our own cup cakes and iced them and put roses in the middle of the icing - they looked fantastic and everyone asked where we got them done! Got the roses off bay of e and the cupcake cases - cost us about £15 to do 30 cupcakes!
