    Hi Guys,

I've gone slightly over budget on my dress (ooopppsss) lol and now my penny pinching fiance is telling me that what I've spent on my dress has to be taken from the budget for my bridesmaids. Which means I've only got about £150 to spend on each dress. Does anyone know where I can get really nice dresses that wont cause a divorce before the wedding has even happened :) I'm in the South Wales area and help would be greatly received.

    Thanks xxxxxxx

it depends what kind of dresses you are after hun, A few of the high street stores have then in for about £120 the big one beginning with 'D' and the good old 'Home Store in Britain' have some nice ones, or try some of the bridal shops they have offers on in some of the smaller ones, The link at the top of the page sometimes has them for £99 too xx

Yea it just depends how flexible you are. I wasn't bothered about colour or style as long as it wasn't one shouldered or too short. Mine cost £15 for both from my local vintage shop. Gentle wash and they no longer smell of old people.
Try the high street especially now all the summer stuff is coming in.

£150 per dress is plenty. In some bridal shops you can get them at this price. I got mine in Debenhams for £80 each so it is possible. House of Fraser of Coast also do really nice ones in your new budget so you will be fine! x

Like everyone else said, there's loads on the high street - especially if you're after maxi dresses at the moment... my dresses were bought from a bridal store for £120.. it was just case of shopping around... turns out though if we'd have ordered them directly from the designer in america and had them shipped over it would have been cheaper, so look online - even from america or china, they have gorgeous dresses for lower prices xxx

I bought mine from bay of e. It came to £85 for 3 dresses. I was concerned they would be bad quality but have arrived and are gorgeous. 2 of my bridesmaids have tried theirs on so far and said they loved them. I have promised to buy 2 of them shrugs or something though which will bring the price up. But if all 3 had been happy without it would have been an absolute bargain!

With £150 per dress you will have loads of dresses to choose from.As others have said full length bridesmaid dresses on the high street cost around £120 but i would advise that you wait until after Christmas or until 'D hams,BSH or Torrential rain' have one of their very frequent 25% off everything sales. I bought my sisters bridesmaid dress from D hams it had originally been £120 and was reduced to £36 (picture in my profile) i also managed to get her a matching shrug reduced from £40 to £9.didn't do quite as well with my other daughter but managed 35% off by adding an online 10% discount code to the 25% off sale event!
Shop around and you will be amazed by how much you can save xxx

Of course it can be done - most designers in bridal shops offer bridesmaid dresses for around that price. In fact you can bargain with the owners on price too. My girls are in alexia design dresses that were meant to be 190 each but by going from shop to shop beating prices down as I wanted 6, I ended up getting my adult dresses for £137 each instead of £190 and the junior and flower girls for £90 each instead of £136.x

Haven't read all thread but that's a decent budget! Got mine off the bay, brand new BHS dresses (see my photos), paid £12 for one and about £29 for other. So many lovely ones in sales- even Coast have dresses for less than that in sales. Some of the High St ones are lovely, more likely to be worn again and will probably go down well with the maids. Get them joining in with the search too, they may already have their eyes on something... x

I too am looking for Bridesmaids dresses on a budget!! Quite frankly the prices in bridal shops scare the life out of me! I'm looking for Black Maxi Dresses but as my MOH is over 6ft tall, I'm struggling to find a dress long enough on the highstreet. Can anyone recommend a good bay of e seller on bay or a good internet store?
