    Hi there,

I'm getting married June 2012 and am just starting to get my head around decision making! I've always loved balloons, and really want a balloon arch at my wedding but in my mind this means I should have balloon centrepieces to stop it looking fussy. However I have fallen in love with the idea of a simple gerbera flower arrangement!

What are peoples opinions/experiences on/with centrepieces? Need to get my head around it :D

Personally I would choose ballons (thats what I'm having) but then again I get cronic hay fever and would spend my entire time sneezing at flowers lol! Am having silk boquets u could have balloons coming from flower arrangements maybe ?

I couldnt decide whether to have balloons either! Could you attach them to the centrepiece in some way? I am having white birdcages and saw some gorgeous black and white damask balloons and thought of having them tied to the cage. I have table runners and petals and stuff to use too so I'm not sure if I would be over doing it? Could you do something similar or is both too much?

I love the idea of having half one and half the other! We're having candelabra which I've already agreed, but I love the idea of having both. My friend had balloons as her which were lovely, I do love fresh flowers too but again, i've got hayfever so it'd set me right off lol x

I'm having Gerbera flowers in tall lily vases with other bits of greenery etc and then they will double up as centrepeices for the evening as they will have lights in them. You can't beat fresh flowers especially at weddings x x

i was going to have balloons coming out of my fishbowls and hiding the weights under waterbeads then having flowers on top of the beads but ive finally made my mind up just having bowls without balloons but then ive got along time to go so who knows i will probably change my mind again

thank you everyone, very much lost track of this post but in my absence have decided on both (as most of you suggested!). Going to disguise the weights with a small arrangement of pink (silk due to hayfever) gerberas. and yes i'm having kids at my wedding as i have 4 myself lol

defo flowers. I dont really like balloons as wedding centrepieces, balloons say more childs party or christening to me. and they always look at bit bare at the bottom on the table.

H2B and i aren't huge flower lovers so we are going for balloons and even better we have a friend with a balloon business. They done our balloons for our engagement and didn't charge us a penny but have told H2B to contact thm and find out how much it would be for wedding balloons. We will be having top table flowers thou as our venue provide every couple marrying there with top table flowers as a gift. I like the option of both flowers and balloons though xx
