As the title says we cant decide on our first dance! we keep hearin songs and thinking yeh that would be nice but then we change our minds so it cant be that great! im a huge christina aguilera fan and i would love to have her version of ''at last' but she never released it as a cover which is really annoying! H2B hardly ever likes the same slowe ones as me too :( x

maybe ask on a fan site of hers to see if they know where it could be gotten from. if she sung it there will be a way of finding it.
our first dance is a cover of shakespear sisters 'stay' we are having an alternative wedding and listen to alot of rock/metal types of music, the cover version is by cradle of filth, slow starting as shakespears sis did but half way through it picks up tempo and becomes quite heavy. so we have a bit of a slow dance and just mosh the rest of it, we are happy enough with that but keeping it secret from our families and friends. so dont forget your first dance doesn't have to be slow. the song could even be the song you both rember hearing when you first met, or a song you heard when proposal was made.

thats the thing i have plenty of faster more up beat songs that we both like but dont know if people will just think oh why did they pick that! theres a song that we both liked when we met but its pendulum not very weddingy lol. Maybe being a little selfish wanting christina but i love her lol not many of her songs are luvvy duvy and the ones that are are really loud power ballards that might be too much...

lol your talking to someone here that h2b wanted pendulum or prodigy to be thought of for a first dance until we heard this heavy version of 'stay' at the end of day its your wedding, ok ppl may not like your choice of song, but thats exactly what it is... YOUR choice. if they want a different song for first dance, they should get married. sorry if that came over harsh but ive been arguing over things about the wedding with the sl2b and she told me what song we should have.

I would either love something classic and old, maybe mowtown or something indie as this is my first love. Trouble is whenever we find something we like we realise the lyrics are pretty sad and about breaking up or being apart. Our latest thought it Van Morrison "Have I told you Lately" we like it but I'm just not sure about it. Other options which dont fall into the above criteria but are songs that we both like are Adele "Make you feel my love" but the lyrics arent quite right, Candi Staton featuring the Source "You've got the love" (absolutely love those lyrics") but not sure its going to suit a first dance, Paul Weller "you do something to me" (I love this but having a hard time convincing the OH), Googoo Dolls "Iris", Snow Patrol "just say yes" (think this is a bit fast moving tho), Biffy Clyro "Many of horror" again the lyrics arent quite right and Al Green "lets stay together (again OH doesnt like). In my ideal there would be a perfect foo fighters song but there isnt really one thats right. I just would love something indie/rock with lovely lyrics so any suggestions would be welcomed

We love Biffy Clyro - Many of horror aswell but the lyrics dont really seem like a first dance song... I've heard an accoustic Everlong by the foo fighters which is pretty good but H2B wasn't too keen... will have to keep searching xx
