I really like the idea of scratch cards as wedding favours but not sure how I would feel if someone wins a lot of money lol!
    Maybe I'm being selfish!?
But imagine if someone wins 100k on ur day, would they feel like they have to share? Would you want them to share?

    Arghhh what to do? X

I'd feel the same if I never won and a guest won lots. Suppose it's a risk you take.

couldn't do it as favours though x

I couldnt do it as favours. My nan buys us them at christmas and puts them under our dinner plates, I won a tenner last year, year before my brother won a tenner. Maybe something a bit bigger this year lol.

I personally prefer wedding favours that are personal and have a bit of character to them, so its not an idea I would ever have considered, but if it's something you want to do you would have to risk someone winning and them not sharing xx

we are going lottery tickets...we are putting them in scrolls with a little poem basically saying dont forget to share if they win lol. to be honest if i went to a wedding and got a lottery ticket/scratch card for a favour and won a reasonable amount of money i would definatly share it afterall, wouldnt have got it if it wasnt for the bride and groom sure most people would be the same x

I couldnt do this either, I echo what has been said by the above ladies, if someone won a whopper of a prize on my wedding day I'd be pee'd off becasue I bought the ticket and could do with the money myself haha, and if it was something substatial, I really wouldnt want the focus from my day shift to that. and knowing my luck, one of the guests incvited out of obligation would be one of the ones to win, or some random family member of the boy Ive never even met lol

I wouldn't see a problem with it being limited to the bridal party, but not as favours, I too would be the worst loser ever!! haha!

The dougie Mac do ones where the top prize is 1k.

Yea someone suggested them to me but as others have said you just know whoever you invited just because you had to would win.

I might do lottery tickets rather than scratch cards as we get married on the Friday so I'd do it for the Saturday so they don't steal the limelight! We are having a small day do so don't think I will be too gutted if someone wins, and what's the chances of someone winning a massive amount? Xx

Hmmmm, I at least scratch cards have a smaller jackpot, but i think your more likely to win tho lol....
Velcro- this is exactly what I'm thinking, if it's a close friend or family it's fine but what if it is a random person, I hardly know!
But I just want to do sOmething a bit different to sweets and choc!
The only other thing I can think of is charity badges, cancer research for girls and help for heroes for boys maybe?

At least I still have a while to ponder over it ;-) x

It's a risk you take with scratch cards. Charity badges is a good idea, you know the money has gone to a good cause.

I couldn't do lottery tickets, it may sound selfish but I would be gutted if somebody won a jackpot! However I am thinking about doing scratchcards, you can get ones where the biggest prize is less than £10k and to be fair I wouldn't mind any of my guests winning that, although we're (hopefully) getting married in Cyprus so it'll only be close friends and family at our wedding.

Try and get scratch cards with a top prize of £10,000 maybe? Either that or get lottery tickets. The chances of anyone winning huge amounts is unlikely. We are getting lottery tickets in a little scroll for our male guests.

Well I have thought this through and decided to definitely do Lottery ticket favours.
I am also going to pick one of the tickets out of a hat and write the exact number down and have a little lottery raffle, whoever owns the ticket with that number on it is going to win a little package with wine and chocolates etc in it.
just thought it would be a bit nice to do something like that. and its a little bit different.

My best friend did scratch cards. I had the job of putting them out the night before! As far as we know of 80 guests only one person won £5!! So I wouldn't worry too much. Either it's that unlikely you'll win or just noone wanted to tell that they had won! x
