I had his taster menu the 1st time I went to his place, one of the items was a hot and ice tea, in one!! I'd love to give that to my guests instead of coffee

Ish. I just haven't heard from him in a few days. I'm conceding on letting him have multiple options on the catering but not on names. Whatever happens, he has no say on the surnames of any children so if Grant keeps his names we'll end up the Hendry-Hornes anyway. I win!

Hurraaaah I LOVE this thread!!! I hardly ever comment on here, I'm one of the no budget brides as in it costs what it costs, but as I love doing things myself like invitations cake etc I've not compromised on anything. My shoes are Vivienne westwood, my bolero cost £300 and my head piece nearly £200, thing is my parents are paying for most of our wedding, I feel scared to say this on here. However most of my friends parents payed for theirs. It's just the norm for me. I know how lucky I am. Paying for our own honeymoon though, and not held back there luxury hols for us.
Oh and h2b spent £400 on bespoke shirt and tie for himself plus some pocket handkerchiefs for his groomsmen...what can I say we like the finer things in life haha

We've payed for a lot of things ourselves but I'd be lying if I said i wasn't a parents paying bride xx

I would love it if Clarkeson, Hammond and May turned up to our wedding. They do use my venue when they are filming at Malory park. Their helicopter was landing the night we went to view. Doubt they work weekends though.

OK - I am gonna get something off my chest now. For obvious reasons I havent mentioned this until now.
Just gonna keep it brief as it really upsets me.
I was supposed to be married in Italy on 26th March, it was a BBB affair consisting of 78 family/ friends. I didnt plan a thing of it a WP did it for me over there other than me getting my dress and bridesmaids and OH his outfits etc. Didnt even choose our rings. The ex went mental and said he wont let it happen. He bad eyed it. My health cancelled it all :-( I dare not even think of the cost, in arguement with insurance, WP is sorting it.

Now I am starting again but a very different affair and very local to home.

I came up with a wish list and have scrimped and scraped, so I can have everything I want. We are having a 3 course meal for 80 and quite a bit of alcohol. We are inviting as many people as we want to the night time and we are having a bbq, with pasta salads, chicken drumsticks etc. I have been really lucky so far, as I have got a discount on everything bar the wedding ceremony venue. We are having a beautiful double decker bus, dj, band, superhero sumo suits, bronco bull (sheep version), bouncy castle, chocolate fountain, candy floss, toffee apples, candy bar. I am in the process of sorting my videographer and photographer.

NHR115 - We're getting married at Fingask Castle in Perthshire. It's so pretty, if a little nuts!

Jo - Our top table's called Top Gear and I'm planning to write to Clarkson, Hammond and May (and separately to Ben Collins) to ask if they can send a signed picture or letter of congratulations to Grant. Not that we're obsessed or anything...

I know I am so excited about the 3 puddings, even though I haven't picked them yet. I actually had creme brulee for the first time at a wedding recently and even though I thought it looked gross, it was absolutely gorgeous (I actually had to stop myself from licking the bowl)

no its not an eaton mess in a shot glass ....

it is a spin on an eaton mess... it is Morello cherrys that are infused for 2 weeks in cherry liquior and made up in to a jam like consistancy using glucose syrup so non of the alcohol is burnet off...

then a layer of vanilla scented clotted cream with crushed homemade chewy merangue a layer of fresh cooked cooled cheerys followed by another layer of the cream and mergange and finally cream and on the top the thick cherry mixture..... with a shot of cherry liquior on the side in a shot glass

It's Sundridge Park Manor in Bromley.

Their website isn't very good - they pitch it as a management centre and the 'ballroom' is really plain, but everywhere else is AMAZING.

I am hoping that there will be so much going on that no-one will notice the carpet.

The venue was on Channel 4 ('Wedding House') - we booked it before it's acting debut lol!
