I'm a little confused! We have found a lovely little hotel that can only cater up to 50 guests for the meal. Does this mean that there can be the bride and groom, then 50 guests? Or the bride and groom and 48 guests to make it up to 50??

i wondered that about our registry office, i wondered if we counted in the total amount of people allowed in the room. xx
If it's the total of people allowed in the room then I'm guessing that means the bride and groom too. I will ring and find out though. Thanks for the help! xx

Usually the max numbers INCLUDE the bridal party, so thats bride, groom, bm's, pb's, fg's, best man etc. BUT if in doubt phone them up and ask babe :-0

we have done the same. Were sitting planning how to get our day guests down to 70. and did all the costings for 70. Then realised that we had not included ourselves!! DOH!

Usually the maximum number of guests stated by a venue is given in order to comply with health, safety and fire regulations, and also their insurance. I remembered to include me and the groom in the daytime numbers (even tho MIL laughed at my list) but havent counted us in the night do numbers! Doh.
