OH has mentioned wearing converse at the wedding which i think will be great for some aspects but not for others. Im not sure i want him wearing them for the ceremony as im worried it will make it feel silly. Also for the more traditional photos im not sure i want him in converse then either. I wouldnt mind if they were black or at least dark but our colour is orange so thats what colour they would be. What do you think?

Im planning on wearing them in the evening with him its just the formal stuff i worry about. Then again he will be wearing a matching tie so its not like it would be totally out of place. I dunno!

My hubby wore converse for both the Vegas wedding and the London blessing/reception. Looked fab!
love the converse idea but my mum would definitely have a heart attack if we did that.

It's entirely up to you
Personally we wont but I am a stiletto lover so will have those on so he's going formal too

I really don't like them, but we don't all have the same taste. I am a firm believer though in having whatever you want on YOUR day :)

The reason why I'm wearin them is because I have a disability with my right leg and have dodgy knees lol I can not wear any kind of heel as I makes my ankle wobble and the muscles ans tendons in the my foot won't bend enough for heels! I do have a choice of flat diamante sandals too but I know I will be wearing the pumps, my mum and sister HATE them too but it tough haha! X
Ill marry my hero

Can you not get him to try them on with his suit and see what you think.
I think you should let him, mine want's to wear shoes, but he is wearing top and tails so converse really wouldn't go.
CommentAuthorStephanieK77
He probably will end up wearing them its just for the formal pics im wavering on. I like the idea and we will both be getting some with the wedding date sewn on. Im not wearing them in the day as I dont think i will feel "special" without heels but will welcome them when my feet start to hurt. He hasnt got his suit yet so yeah will just see how it looks.

My other half and his friends (who are the grooms men) have a theme - at the previous 2 weddings the grooms party have all worn converse that match the theme - groom in Red/Blue and grooms men in White. For ours he's decided our mint green theme will be too girly for his shoes! So the he's going to wear cream to match my dress and the grooms men will wear white converse.
All of the guests will be wearing formal shoes, so I think it will look great that they are all matching and informal! It depends on what your idea of perfect looks like. I want our wedding to look like us - and if you knew my H2B you'd know that formal shoes weren't him. As for pictures - the majority wont have feet in them anyway! most photos are waist up (especially the close up ones) and if it was a theme - as in Groom and party wearing them then it would stand them out.
I'm wearing heels, as are my bridesmaids - but i don't find that strange (every night out in town or date we've been on he's worn trainers, or skate shoes or converse!) He only wears black shoes for work or formal occasions - obviously not his friends weddings!

I'm wearing sparkly purple red or dead heels and h2b is wearing the all black leather converse. It's up to you and h2b what you want. When I started planning I was a bit of a bridezilla in the fact that I kept telling him he was wearing a proper wedding suit with waistcoat and proper shoes. As time has gone on, I've mellowed and he has bought a really nice jacket, just need trousers. We're doing nightmare before christmas theme so he wants to wear a black and white shirt. He wants to wear converse so I decided why not. Though I draw the line at Hawaiian shirts for the formal stuff. Yes that was his bright idea as he loves bright colours and surfing and stuff. I compromised and said he can in the eve when he gets changed.

I had normal heels for the ceremony and first part of the reception, but as soon as the dancing started I changed into a pair of converse which I got specially for the wedding. I had butterflies as part of my theme, table name holders were butterflies and the background of the table names were butterflies.

Ooohhh...that sounds so awesome! Wish I could, I love converses! But I don't think it would fit in with our Greek deity theme lol xoxox

At my friend's wedding, all the groomsmen (there were 3 best men, 2 ushers) wore either pale pink or pale grey converse. As a lot of elements in the wedding were handmade by the MOB (wedding dress, all 6 bridesmaids dresses, bunting, buttonholes), it fitted in really well! At my wedding, I have bought red converse to wear in the evening, as I don't really do heels! If you want to do it, then I say go for it!! After all, it is your day xx
CommentAuthorBeckyB5
I just designed a purple pair with our wedding date printed up the back and I'm a little bit in love with them!! Converse at the reception might have to happen!!
CommentAuthorFranM76
I have bought heels for the ceremony - but Im now thinking I might get some converse for the evening do - think they look great!!
CommentAuthorJennK
My feet are awkward so have been considering this for a while, but then I think I will get hot feet if I have converse all day. So thinking flat pumps for day and converse that go with our colour scheme for the evening :)

I'm having a village hall reception, with deckchairs, BBQ and garden games outside (weather permitting!) so I'm definitely going to be changing out of my heels into comfortable shoes so I can join in the fun! I've bought some pale pink converse and now trying to talk my other half into getting some black ones! He's insisting on wearing shoes all day though so it might be just
CommentAuthorKayleighS46
I've had a pair of converse custom made for my wedding shoes - I've got traditional ivory heels for the ceremony and breakfast but will be wearing my converse on the evening.

I want to be wearing heels for cathedral part and part of reception however I basically live in my trainers so at some point I will be changing into something like them . I have seen that converse is the in thing at the mo so been tempted to look into getting a pair of them as the style ideas for them on wedding day are fab :)
Somehow always connected , finally became friends .

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Whilst we try our best to catch them all, we all work full time so some things inevitably get missed. Thanks for helping us do our job :)
