I need a really really good bra!! My poor boobies are a little worse for wear after breastfeeding my daughter, and are a little empty and structurally weak shall we say lol! I could do with one with straps to hold them up a bit (they're not very big but they need lots of support to lift them!) but my dress only has spaghetti straps, so not really do-able. Can anyone recommend a good strapless bra that will fill me out and lift/support? x

i got a good one from tesco last year, not sure if they still stock them and it was just plain so no good if you want a fancy 1. it had clear straps with it too so thats another option for you :) x

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!

I'm in the process of trying to find a good fit for the Ultimate Strapless by Wonderbra. I've heard you need to go up a cup size so I'm really hoping that my local Debs will have a 38F in stock. They're £10 off at the moment :D
I will need some shapewear to deal with the backflab problem. The straps just aren't that forgiving.

M&S have a lovely strapless bra with some lace over it so it isn't plain. Its not just a case of getting the right bra but also getting one that fits you so if I were you I would go for a propper fitting. Although the sizes will vary from shop to shop what they will do is tell you how to check if the bra you have on is fitting as it should or not. I always feel so much better when I've been and had them sort me out.

I got one in debenhams today, but I have also seen some good ones in La Senza and M&S. A lot of them have detachable straps so you can decide which way to wear it.

I'm having underwired cups sewn into my dress to give me shape instead of an actual bra, you could try that instead? My bridal shop had them, not sure when you can get them from

Thanks for all the tips girls! Tiggs, I work for Avon, so might be able to get one cheap! Think I'll probably go to Debs to get properly measured up though - I've changed size lots over the last couple of years! Not too bothered what it looks like to be honest - it'll probably be coming off with the dress anyway! x

Might be worth spending the extra on that one then! Might go and get measured up this week! Hopefully I shouldn't change size again between now and the wedding!

The best strapless bra I ever bought was from M&S, but then I also bought a decent one from Primark so you never know. Best bet is to just go on a shopping trip and try a few on. x

What really hacks me off is that I know they do a 38E as I have seen it in Debenhams (I didn't buy it because my mother told me to try M&S with her the next day because we have vouchers- they don't stock Wonderbra at all), yet no website has it.

36 back is no good for me as my bra extender isn't long enough to bridge the gap. Also it's only a two hook extender and the Wonderbra has three hooks.

Figleaves have an offer on the Ultimate by Wonderbra atm and I'm pretty sure they go up to a 38...
I've just ordered two in a 30F & 32F (they don't do G's sadly) as some of the reviews say the backs are a bit tight, while others say they're perfect..
They have the normal nude and black ones, and also nice ivory and black ones with lace detailing :)
If you enter Wonder10 (I think) at the checkout you get £10 off! :) so then they're £26
    xx

debenhams have nice t-shirt strapless in a few colours. it does depend what style (padded, wired, etc) you want. Just bought a lovely strapless one in white for £20 which detachable straps.

has anyone tried a stick on bra? or anything strapless and backless? would love to know if they're any good before buying one. was considering it because the back of my dress is mostly lace - so didn't want to have bra straps everywhere. thanks xx

solar_powered_lime, they do go up to a 38 back but not a big enough cup size. I tried going for a 38DD, as I can usually get away with those, but the cup was too small. Bah!

May have to resolve myself to the fact that I'm not meant to have this bra. Perhaps I'll go back to my original basque for the evening... just need to make sure that the boning doesn't show through the dress...

Nisha, poo that's annoying sorry :( They seemed to have different sizes in different colours (I'm guessing others were sold out?) I just hope I can get into the F rather than a G - don't want funny "side b00bs" spilling over lol! xx

Just thought I'd update you all as my Wonderbra ultimate strapless arrived today (not bad postage time coming to australia lol!) and it is great! Sorry, I sound like I work for them or something lol! (Just to clarify, I don't). I'm a 30G but ordered a 32F because they only go up to an F cup, and some reviews said they come up tight so go up a back size. It's super comfy, doesn't dig in or stick like some strapless bras, I don't get "4-b00bs" and the black lace one I got is so pretty :) It made me laugh because the cups do look like they have little hands inside haha xx
PS - last time I looked, Figleaves were doing a 20% off if you type in MISSING at the checkout.

I was MOH at mates wedding last Aug, I am 34F cup and have never got on with strapless bras. I was wearing a one shoulder dress so needed some support. I went to Debhenhams and bought the untimate wonderbra, its the best bra ever. I tried it on with the dress in changing rooms and I was jumping around with no loss of support or anything. Its about £35 but def recommend it.
