everyone who i have talked to have had brill weddings/functions their.and every month we go for a meal their and have never been able to fault it the staff are brill.

I know what you mean kat - that is why our church is in killie and reception ayr. I just had to have the henderson church.It was were my grandparents and great grandparents got married, my dad , papa and myself christened and where my papas funeral was in jan 09. So it holds a lot of meaning for me.And is a lovely church

Awww thats lovely mcewan, all of my sisters got married in the same church in Suffolk and I'd have loved to get married there too tbh, but my life is up here now so our plans are all being made up here (I've been up here 15 years)

I'm not!!! If I could get the money together sooner I'd do it as soon as possible! I am so excited its unreal. My 5 year old offered me her pocket money (and her sisters hehe) if it would help make the wedding sooner rofl. I'm loving this early stage of planning it all though, how much have you sorted (even if just on paper lol)?

I've got most of it planned in my head lol, but the only thing booked so far is the ceremony venue. Waiting on people getting back to me about the evening venue and meal ect. I know what style of dress I want but havent been out looking yet (need to lose weight first). My main worry is money as we are paying for the whole thing ourselves. I'll have my big sis as MoH, my 2 best friends as bridesmaids, my twin daughters and niece (who'll be 7, 7, 8 then) as bridesmaids, my son (who'll be 4), and my step son (who'll be 10) as pageboys. Going to make as much as I can myself. I'm a cake designer so at least thats one thing I dont have to pay out for lol. I'm fairly laid back so hoping I wont become a bridezilla! I think I'm boring everyone with wedding talk already though :( , how about you do you see bridezilla status in your future?

I'm in saltcoats, getting married in moorpark house in kilbirnie. It's stunning and central as I have peeps coming from Arran, dumfries, inverness, wales, glasgow and ayrshire. I love the fact it gives me exclusivity.

Im in East Kilbride so not far from Ayrshire, looked at a couple of venues there but did fall in love with the first we seen, the Bothwell Bridge! I cant wait :D

Hi Ayrshire brides!! I am in Paisley :-) Having my reception in Loch Lomond.

Just to let you girls know there is a big Wedding entertainment showcase this weekend on Sunday from 2pm - 9pm. Its at The Cruin in Loch Lomond and there are over 20 acts playing (my band incuded) and there is also a fashion show from a local bridal shop. I know it may be a bit far for some of you guys but all of these bands will travel to Ayshire and it gives you a chance to see a band before you buy type thing.
