I've got seven bridesmaids (used to be eight but one cancelled as she will be 8month pregnant) but I also have four other friends who I class as my best friends (just couldnt have everyone.) I have asked one to be our witness as i know it is very her, but there are three more that i would like to give something special to do, without taking over any of the bridesmaid or best man job if that makes sense? Was thinking even something small, like one is great with music so could put her in charge of helping with music choices, and the other two could ask to have a key role on hen night like collating photos and making up an album? doesnt have to be to do with the wedding could be hen stuff too? any ideas?xx

i did think that penny but they hate public speaking so would be more of an inconvenience rather than an honour. maybe im just being stupid and should just let them enjoy being guests x

I think you're idea about letting them be involved in organising the hen is a good one. Sounds more up their street??x

yeh it totally does but the only thing is the chief bridesmaids are organising the actual hen do so only thing i was thinking was to sort out the photos but again that might be a big responsibility when they just want to havew a fun night? and my partner has said why give them something when you hae seven bridesmaids to do stuff, but they are just such good friends to me i want to give them something too!! aaaarg maybe i just dont!!
it's a toughie - are you making your own favours or invites or anything - could they help with that? Or decorating the venue?

it is tough isnt it glad its not just me!! one of my maids and witness have offered to help with favours and invites are already done. feel like i want to give them a 'nice' job as opposed to a 'work' job too aaaarg i think i am just being stupid and irrational. maybe best just to leave them as guests and enjoy the buildup and day without being a part? My gut wants to ask them to do something though

What about helping you with hair/ make up in the morning? If they wouldnt feel comfortable with a reading/ speech on the day it may make them feel involved? I have asked my best friends to organise my hen night and that went down well. The main thing is that its your day though and true friends will respect what you want good luck!! :O)

When I was my best friends MOH she also had 3 other best friends that she wanted to involve. One was a witness, one did a reading and one had her camera and was in charge of taking all her photos for her. Hope this is helpful x
I am now Mrs Stacey Stiles and loving it!

I have 3 best mates but as we're having h2b's sister and my god daughter as bridesmaids we cant really afford to have all 3 as bm's so best mate 1 is moh, best friend 2 we're having her baby (7 month at mo will be 2 when get married) as a flower girl as not being rude her dress will be cheaper, and best friend 3 is in charge of ceremony music. Everyone is happy with this and suites them to the ground.
