I'm not really after any advice, just a little rant really.
I lost my job just recently and I am so stressed out about it :( we paid the deposit for our venue so have a date now and I can't even afford next months rent let alone saving for a wedding :( my OH just says "we'll be alright" but I really don't know if we will be. It's looking like we're going to have to dip into the wedding money to afford to live at the moment and we could only afford to save the bare minimum as it was. :( I've been applying for everything so I'm praying something comes up soon but I just feel completely lost.. :( I've never been unemployed before and the time that I need my job the most- it all goes belly up!
Anyway.. I'll stop now cos I'll just cry again. I just needed to get it off my chest. xx
Bless you Jordan. Try not to lose hope, something will turn up for you

Hey hun, try to stay positive! You said you paid a deposit on your venue, what type of venue is it? It says you're due to get married in 29 months, that's a long way away and there are loads of ways to save money depending on what your venue package is and what that includes! Xx

Good luck Jordan, I hope you get another job soon. Does your OH earn enough to support you both for a little while? Presumably this far in advance you're only committed to your venue, nothing else. There are plenty ways to cut costs elsewhere, DIY, dresses from sample sales, students rather than fully qualified professionals, using the skills of your guests etc. Is there a way that you can cut your day to day living costs or are you already at the minimum?
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Jordan, hopefully a job will come up soon, but in the meantime can you go to the council and ask if you are entitled to some housing benefit with the rent??
That's awful Jordan, I hope you get something sorted soon xx

Jordan really hope something comes up for you. There are plenty of ways to cut cost with the wedding so try not to worry about that at the moment. Agree with GF, speak to your council and see if you are entitled to anything to help you out?

I know exactly how you feel, and I'm really sorry to hear this. I got told 10 months before the wedding that I'm being made redundant. and I'm also pregnant, so can't find work elsewhere for quite a while. It really sucks and I'm sorry it's happened to you. :(
If nothing else, you may be entitled to JSA? Which whilst it's not very much money, it is much more than £0 whilst you're looking for something else.
The one plus is that you've still got time, if your countdown is correct :) I know how stressful it can be to suddenly lose your job and it feels like the end of the world but stressing only really makes things ten times worse. Do some research into any help you might be entitled to, and keep doing what you're doing, applying for everything. It will be okay xx

Hi Jordan - I see you're in Brighton, just along the road from me. I am not sure what your background is work wise, but we are always recruiting to our staff bank with the NH$ - both local ones in Brighton and Hove have them. I'll send you a private message with their telephone numbers on as they can send you the relevant forms etc.

Sorry to hear about your job. Things will get better and something will come along, keep persevering.
Have you looked at how you can cut daily living costs? Basic things like food shopping as groceries are the easiest thing to cut costs by being creative with less expensive meats and veg, fill up on affordable carbs. Beans are a good filler too, I pop a tin of butter beans into a hot pot or casserole which makes it go much further.
You have plenty of time before the big day so focus first on living, wedding costs in the future can be cut, such as DIY, pr310v3d dress, cheaper bridesmaids dresses etc.
