I had my hair streaked on monday ready for the wedding, well it went far too light, so i got a few more brown put through today to tone it down a bit and it went ginger. . .I went back tonight and had a chocolate brown all over. . .It looks nice but it's sooo dark, it's a semi permanent does anyone know if i wash it a few times will it tone down and lighten up a bit?? Wish i'd just left my hair how it was now. . .

When I had mine dyed too dark, the hairdresser said to use Head and Shoulders when washing it to 'strip' some of the colour. Other than that, I can't help, sorry. Good luck though xx

I use a semi permanent on my hair and when you wash it it does come out, you may have to wash it a few times though hun to get it to lighten. It's definetly worth a try though xxxx

Washing it more and more will help. you can get shampoos that lighten your hair, xxx
what colour is your natural colour? if it is quite light keep washing it and it will help!!
i am naturally very blonde and the day after the wedding i went dark....got back off honeymoon 2 weeks later and it was back to completly blonde....due to the sun! coloured it again tonight dark so will see how long it lasts.
as it is semi- permenant i would imagine keep washing it but dont use shampoo that pro longs the life of your colour! and it should help xx

I have heard that head and shoulders worked - someone at work was talking about it today :)
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

I 3rd the head and shoulders. If that fails you can either use a really cheap value shampoo from a supermarket, Or mix bicarb of soda into the shampoo and leave it on your hair. Remember to mix well and wash it out fully.

You need to use head and shoulders or even better baby shampoo :) There is also another thing you can try but it will make your hair feel horrible and thats using washing powder/ soap like Daz mixed with water etc but I warn you it will make it feel horrible!
I once dyed my hair black and it looked so dark and hideous and I phoned my cousin who is a hairdresser and she suggested all of those and after a couple of times it was soo much lighter!
Good luck hun!

My friend is a hairdresser and she said the best thing is head and shoulders shampoo or fairy washing up liquid as they both strip the colour out of your hair Hope it works hun xx
